What if you fight a guy that you can't hit??..

That means your power has been taken from you..and your ass is there for the whipping.

That is why skills are more important..they can't be taken away.

    You see..

    Getting countered is a mofo.

    Especially in the later rounds.

You don't need a lot of power in the late rounds to walk a no-skilled power puncher into all kinds of ****** ****.

Look how ****** Winky made Tito look.

Look at the humiliating ass-kicking Floyd served-up to Diego Corrales.

Give me skills any day...that is the real power.

Pernell Whitaker made a habit of showing that power is inferior.

        Julio Cesar Vazquez
Jose Luis Ramirez (if someone wants to make an ass out of themself, they can say that these two split their matches 1-1... because Ramirez definately "schooled" Whitaker the first time they met. )

I'm sure there were more, but I don't have them off the top of my head.

the #1 p4p fighter in boxing is a one punch ko artist (pacquiao).

He is definately not a one punch KO artist. Not at the weight he is at right now anyway.

He has had two opportunities to knock Marquez out (who doesn't even have that great of a chin, and he failed).

Pacquaio couldn't knock Barrera out either time (at least the type of KO you are talking about).

Every time Morales went down to Pacquiao, he wasn't hurt, but was unable to fight back.

Pacquiao punches hard, and punches fast, but really... he's not a one punch puncher.

EDIT: And he's pretty skilled too. He has boxed fairly well at times when he has had to.

Well a boxer-puncher is not included in your list.

I figured your list was like Julian Jackson vs. Paulie Malignaggi.

Pacquiao has more skill than Jackson and more power than Malignaggi (yeah, we don't even really have to say P4P on that one, just realistically, more power).

Clearly the best kind of fighter is an Erik Morales. The guy who had tremendous skills, and the power to get the job done. Really, Erik Morales was about the perfect fighter stylistically, he could do it all. Barrera as well by the way, but was less dependent on his skills than he should have been for a lot of his career.

If that were true, then Calzaghe and Mayweather would be knockout artisits. Not everyone who has fast hands hit hard all the time.

Speed actually is power if done correctly.

If you hit them flush before they see it coming, their system doesn't have time to tense up and they aren't able to prepare to "take the punch".

Do you really think Floyd's power is what got it done against Hatton?

Both Judah and Pacquiao aren't actually power punchers. They are speed power punchers. Too quick to be able to prepare for the punch.
