How do you drop a promoter? I thought promoters could drop fighters but not the other way around. And frankly, Kirkland should fight every other week. I mean he trains all the time, he finishes fights early. You have Kirkland and Angulo fighting every other week and boxing will pick up big.

Kirkland reminds me of Nigel Benn except that he's smaller and southpaw.

Btw, how come I haven't seen a single sig of Nigel Benn here on boxingscene. Him and Tyson are the best highlights in boxing.

Kirkland's contract called for him to have five fights a year. If he didn't turn down any matches and Shaw didn't come up with the fights, he violated the contract and it became void.

Yeah but the year is far from over.

This really surprised me because Kirkland seemed to be the main young fighter in Shaw's stable. I hope he signs with either Warriors, Goosen or DiBella. I'm tired of seeing all the good young fighters go either Golden Boy or Top Rank.

Anything that gets Kirkland on TV more is a good thing.
