Why is HBO calling for Pavlik/Hopkins???

This makes absolutely zero sense! Hopkins will make it into a boring fight with his usual 1 and done, punch and hold routine. And even if Pavlik wins or possibly KO's Bhop, he will not recieve any credit whatsoever. All they will say is "he beat an old man"

Why would HBO be interested in such a odd fight?

This isnt a odd fight to me....Hopkins vs. Pavlik is a great matchup.....

This is Bernard Hopkins we are taking about....Nobody **** up Hopkins, he can be outspeed or outworked but never ****ed up.

He should retire because he's awful.

Pavlik would **** up Nard, its not the same guy who fought Trinidad. Pavlik is a truth finder, he comes forward takes your punches and fights his fight. Kelly sets a very hard pace that most fighter(All fighters he has faced) can't keep up and eventually they fold under the pressure. Bernard likes to pick his spots, fight when he wants, rest when he wants. Pavlik would not wait on Hopkins like Taylor did, he would impose his will on Bernard and the pressure would catch up to Hopkins late where he might have to quit in his corner or take a nasty beating.


Thats just my opinion and I'm a big Hopkins fan, I would rather see him retire.

First, money. Second, setup fight for Pavlik/Calzaghe. Why do the Pavlik/Calzaghe dance now if you can milk it with Pavlik/BHop and Calzaghe/X fighter earlier?

Third - Maybe they want a "white boy" to BEAT Hopkins by KO/TKO.
