"It's a simple ****in' fight". All Pavlik needs to do is be himself. His main punch, is a right hand! And Joe C is a southpaw, who's been dropped by that punch. If Pavlik's main punch was a left hook I'd say Joe C, just watch the Lacy fight. But Pavlik has much better reach with his right hand then Lacy did.

            Exactly. Karma sent.

Everyone is touting Calzaghe's win over B-Hop as some career defining moment, yet Taylor's TWO victories over a 3-years-younger version of the same man don't qualify as "elite"? Bottom line is that Pavlik twice beat a guy who is better than anyone on Joe's resume, Kessler included.

And one other thing: Kelly has all the intangibles -- the way he sees and catches punches with his gloves; the way he never, ever telegraphs his own shots; the precise, hammer-like doubling and tripling of the jab; the sum of his parts is truly greater than the whole. Pavlik vs. Calzaghe is a pick 'em fight.

Joe has to take the Pavlik fight if it's available.

I can't see Pavlik doing anything apart from getting outclassed. Completely outclassed.

Roy Jones is a harder fight.

I agree on what will happen to Pavlik, but it won't be quite as bad as Lacy because Kelly can actually throw punches. Still an easy Joe win though.

Sadly, I think the Jones fight is even easier. I mean this guy is done. He isn't just old, he looks old in the ring with unsteady chicken legs and despite what people say, he does not posess the handspeed and power of old. He still throws the odd fast looking one but most of his punches aren't that fast anymore. If Joe fights him he wil dominate him in embarassing fashion right from the first round and probably get a TKO some time later on.
