Just found this site and this place is unbelievable. Most of the boxers you so praise would not make it to our nationals. What is it that you like about them so much? They have no personality, they can't punch for ****, and they have no technique. And what is it with all the ass licking for those traitors from former Soviet Union? Everybody knows that they copied the best from us, right before they abandoned our country. What a bunch of ****...

I have to say Cuban boxers are tough guys, they have great abilities in boxing and are great punchers. Most of them are boxer-puncher types. That's one of the reasons Yuriorkis Gamboa is one of my favorites, not only because I have Cuban heritage but because the way he fights is amazing.

stop it, cuba. what pound4pound cubans have there been amigo? americans KO'd hurtado and gonzalez a heavyweight. casamayor has had a very real solid pro career but who else? very good cuban amateur, yes. but the amateur program is their life. they go to olympics over and over. if american kids stayed amateur for 9 and 10 years they would do the same. why dont you have some cubanos come over and reach the level of delahoya, jones, tyson, lewis, mosley, hopkins, calzaghe, israel vazquez, mayweather, pavlick, taylor, margarito, cotto, trinidad and then we'll talk. until then stop your cuban superiority nonsense. proof is what you do not what you say

Cubans would dominate if they were in the pro's no question. I love cuba.
However, just because some fighters aren't as good as some of these cubans, doesn't mean anything. Fact is there aren't too many cubans in the pro's so most people have no idea.

I really respect Cuban boxers, it's a shame they can't turn pro and have to defect. I would have loved to see how Stevenson and Savon would have done as professionals.
And I think Cuba just got internet access last month or something and I remember Gamboa saying that Cuba doesn't get coverage of professional boxing so either you don't really know what you're talking about or you're an alt.Last edited by Silencers; 06-20-2008, 12:09 AM.
