If you're looking to make him more marketable then Winky does nothing for him. He's about as unknown as an elite fighter can be and his style is far from crowd pleasing. Not to mention he has a good chance of winning the fight.

Arum has said that Pavlik and the bobfather himself will take a good long look at the two SMW fights on saturday. He'll look for the best performance by either Abraham or Kessler. Thats what I have been reading.

How would you manage Pavlik to try to make him a mainstream star athlete? What kind of fights would you get him? How would you try to get him more exposure?

I would do what any other manager is doing, and protect him. Build up that record.

Next three opponents Rubio, another top 10 and another top 10.

He won't fight a champion for a long time.

Tell him to put on some weight(60lb) then ship him off to the heavyweights.. LOL, Actually thats what one promoter told Pavlik to do before he could sign him on to a promotional contract.

Get him a fight with Winky Wright, and if he gets past Winky, just have him defend his titles against a mandatory on network television. As someone said, the Lockett fight would've been perfect for that. Aside from Winky and Arthur Abraham, I don't see anybody else worthy of fighting Kelly right now. Calzaghe obviously, but he's got his sights on Roy Jones at the moment.

Let's say Kelly beats Wright and Abraham also, and the Calzaghe fight never follows through. Where does he go from there? There won't be anybody left for him to fight but up and comers and untested prospects. It's a tough position to be in if you're looking for that mainstream acceptance.

I hadn't even thought of a Kessler fight, that's genius. I'd much rather see Kelly fight Kessler than Winky or Abraham.

If Kelly is ever to fight Joe Calzaghe, which is the biggest fight out there for him he's going to have to be quick about it, or Joe really will be retired. He has time for one or two more opponents after Rubio at best, I think. If its one then I think Winky would be the best option, if two then he could face Mora as well.

If Calzaghe does retire first then the Abraham/ Miranda winner and Felix Sturm are out there for him too and after that I think it would be time to move up and take on Mikkel Kessler.
