Floyd should make for an excellent stock broker. Risk/reward fights, he's mastered the art of choosing big name opponents who present mismatches. Everybody better recognize real quick
Will MAYWEATHER'S record ever be duplicated?

You're right, fighters who aren't as talented make for much better fighters and create unquestionable legacies.
All the talent in the world means jack **** if you're not going to put it to use.
Boof says: lol, comical. He didn't use that talent huh?...lol Who are these much better fighters, and who are these fighters that you speak of that leave unquestionable legacies...lol...sorry. That is a new one. Unquestionable legacies. lolComment

Cotto will do the same thing if he happens to beat margs. You already see he is going to fight dlh. lol What about Williams????Comment

Talk about signed fights. Cotto is fighting Margarito, Floyd didn't want that. Cotto and Margarito have fought the most dangerous guys at WW, Floyd hasn't. Floyd hasn't faced an opponent that represents a risk for him since JL Castillo. You've got to be kidding me!Comment

Considering the guys he beat at welter... I would say 57% of the cab drivers here in NYC can duplicate Floyd's accompliments at 147 easily.
Floyd was more impressive at 135 140... at 47 he played his sucker fans and had them thinking he was the best Welter ever. Ahahahahahahahaha
nggas went out and got Floyd tattoos on their ankles.Comment

all someone has to do is fight some decent fighters ealry in there career and then duck and dodge once you make it in the top 10. thats now the way a real fighter would want his career to go.Whatever you think of Floyd Joy Sinclair Mayweather, Jr., he did something that was quite amazing: he was on Ring Magazine's pound-for-pound list FOR TEN CONSECUTIVE YEARS. And "retired" on top.
And, oh, by the way, Ring Magazine is as objective an observer/evaluator as we have in this sport.
If anybody is going to accomplish this feat, he will have to do several things:
1) Start his career early
2) Face top competition early
3) Face top competition consistently
4) Look good in beating that top competition decisively
5) Win. You must keep winning
6) Avoid a bad night. If you lose, it must be close...and to top competition.
7) Have a long career... ten years, remember?
8) Get out of the game before your skills start to erode.
Who do you think is most likely to match this feat?? For comparison purposes, manny Pacquiao has been on the list for under FIVE years, and Joe Calzaghe has been on the list for less than TWO.
Floyd was the the List for TEN. Straight.Comment

Funny. Because Miguel Cotto fought Zab Judah over a year after Floyd fought Judah. And Miguel Cotto will fight Oscar almost two years after Floyd.
Thanks for playing. Good night.Comment

Cotto is fighting his first true test. His first true test. About time. Floyd came to 140 wanting a fight with cotto, and cotto and his people said no. They tried to feed him some phony bruseles fight to gauge floyd. Cotto sat right there watching the fight too. lol Margs did ask Floyd to fight him. Arum asked him to. Arum knew Floyd was leaving him buying out his contract, so Arum made a phony offer to make Floyd look bad. these guys were in line trying to fight floyd, so floyd retired. Now these guys can fight each other. And floyd will come back and kick their ass. None of thoes guys can beat floyd. You know it, i know it. The only people who don't know are cotto and margs fans.Comment
