You shouldn't bring Tye fileds into this debate.

I mean we know how good he is.

Its like justifying Kesslers power as better than Haye's. Its just not true. And Tye is that much greater than Gamboa, they shouldn't be compared.

I would like to have seen an 18 hole playoff between Tye and Tiger. Im pretty sure Tye would have won by around 8-9 shots, presuming Tiger has a good round.

do you think they would have to make some kind of special ball for Tye to hit though? I mean, I'm pretty sure a full strength swing from Tye and the ball would explode.

Are you kidding? Tye Fields would've made Tiger concede in the early holes, somewhere in the front 9. Yes, I said concede, even though it's stroke play. This is a testament to his supernatural abilities because Tye doesn't even play golf.

I never really followed him. I watched his last fight though. I do know one thing, if he wants to do anything in boxing he had better keep his hands up. He appears to have a huge ego and thinks nobody can hit or hurt him. Didnt Jiminez put him down once? And even after that he still had his hands down.

            Whats it mean?

Well it relates back to age and what they can achieve in the future.

While both Gamboa and Linares have a lot to achieve. Im certain Linares will be a top 3 P4P fighter by the end of his career and that is achieveing a lot more than he has now. So hes still a prospect!
Prospect isn't defined by age, you can be 30 years old and called a prospect.

A prospect is an up and coming fighter who hasn't won a major belt yet but probably will in the future.

            Jorge Linares = WBC Titlist.
            Yuriorkis Gamboa = Prospect.

and he said before facing jimenez that after he beats darling he wants pacquiao's belt, big mistake junior, .
the only thing he is missing is glove defense. and looking at all the abilities that he has, I don't think learning that will be a problem. actually, I'm pretty sure he knows how to put his gloves up, he just hasn't faced an opponent fast or powerful enough for him to have to do that. if he fixes that one very minor thing, he beats pacquiao guaranteed.

all these cuban boxers get careless when they think they're doing big in boxing.
look what happened to jorge lui gonzales, had the best talent as a heavyweight (back in the bowe era) but his attitude and ego were tremendously high, and he got knocked the **** out by bowe.

these cubans can't handle the pro's pressure, they're good in amateurs, but when they reach the pro's they usually turn out to be trash, but good thing casamayor changed all that.

I'm still excited by the guy, only worry I have is if his management take him along too fast and put him in with the big guns before he has the experience.

He's had like 12 fights. I haven't seen anybody hyped like this after 12 fights since Mayweather, but Mayweather is one of a kind. I don't understand the Gamboa interest

Power, Speed, Precision and a Great amateur. He's fought a guy with a 40-11 record in his 3rd fight. He has an exciting style and defected from Cuba.
