      You can't really compare boxing to golf though. There is no such thing as "playing for second" in boxing. Moreover, boxing is too unpredictable and physical to have such a strong "leading man".

          Prime RJJ was almost there, SRR was, SRL was, Calzaghe to a certain extent, but I would say the closest we have seen, and are ever likely to see, was Mayweather.
