He'll put up a great fight for 4 to 6 rounds, maybe even win most of those rounds, but he'll start to fade quick after that and end up as bad, or worse, than he did against Johnson and Tarver. Everybody assumes that Calzaghe is a slow ****** oaf who couldn't mash a fly with his hardest punch, and anybody that thinks that way is either a complete idiot, new to the sport of boxing, or ....well, just a complete ****ing idiot. Check the guy's record, watch some more of his fights, paying particular attention to how he adapts to each fighter, and even closer attention to how easily he hurts his opponents with those flyswatters.

The blatant bias and lack of objectivity on this forum is sad. Makes me wonder if most of the users even have a thought process.

...I've always liked Calzaghe...until I was listening to him and his corner in the Kessler fight...sounded bad imo...if Kessler didn't get tired and blow the fight...he had Calzaghe's number but for whatever reason let Calzaghe go and win the fight...if you can hit Calzaghe he get's flustered...and if RJJ can hit him I think he's got a good chance of beating Calzaghe...is RJJ shot?...Tito thought so...

Calzaghe handed Kessler a boxing lesson. If he was flustered he did a good job of hiding it by turning in a career best performance. I wish I responded to pressure like that.

I'm sure RJJ will be able to hit Joe, this is boxing, but his problem will be that he doesn't have the stamina to throw that many punches, so ultimately he'll hit Joe much less than Kessler did. He also can't move very fast so will be struggling to find the positioning to unload his best shots on Calzaghe.

Tito Trinidad was washed up himself, and had his best years as a fighter at WW. He never really convinced at MW and he fought Roy at LHW! He was brought in specifically as the biggest name that Roy could definitely beat, but that matchup had nothing to do with competitive boxing.

...actually I think Kessler showed what Calzaghe was all about...hit him and he doesn't like it...but for whatever reason, being tired is what it looked like, he stopped hitting Calzaghe...no matter who you fight, if you stop hitting them and they continue to hit you, you will loose...and Kessler stopped hitting Calzaghe...

on the real fellas, who has calzage fought really. I'm not dissing the man just stating the facts. Kessler, one dimensional, lacey, the same and joe hit him with everything and still didn't ko him. hop and looked amaturish, personly i thought hop won by a round. No way he ko's roy. He has a lil pop but not much. As far as roy not koing tito, look tito is a hof legend so is roy, why and the end of both of their careers would roy want to really hurt tito. Not making excuses, just my observation. roy slowed down on him in the late rounds, personlly i would do the same thing, it called respecting another legend. is this game really worth hurting another hofb, when ur winning....no
As far as tarver and johnson, the weight ****ed roy up, look how tarver was against hop. Not and excuse just facts. Just for the **** of it, i think hanshaw would have beat joe. no way joe is even top 10 p4p, he fought no comp.

It seems Calzaghe whenever he gets hit BIG like the Kessler fight where he got hit with an uppercut in the 3rd makes him change. Calzaghe adjusts his game when he realises he's doing badly, he said in the Ross interview when he got hit by Kessler in the 3rd he said that what he was doing wasn't working and he had to switch up, he said it for the Hopkins fight too and he does. He switches up his game and fight differently he doesn't have a gameplan he just adjusts to his situation.

That's what allows him to win, he can change from Inside fighter (lacy), Boxer-Puncher (Kessler) or Completely unorthadox (Hopkins)

Calzaghe is digging himself in a hole.

If he loses to Jones he will have no credability whatsoever.

Roy Jones Jr is shot to pieces, not a good win for Calz and if he wins by close decision again against an shot fighter or a fighter people presume is shot then he goes down in history books even looking extremly dumb. People aren't ****ing ****** who write history books, they aren't going to leave out the fact that Roy looks like **** compared to what he has in the past looked like.

Calzaghes resume is looking too hand picked now, with fighters who look kind of shot like Hopkins, and Jones Jr.
