The Mosquera fight was a hard fight and he proved himself in that one not only in whom he was facing but also the environment. It was in Panama City where Mosqera was adored by his fans. Mosquera at the time was easily a top 10 fighter. Valero destroyed him completely, just gave him an attrocious beating.

And I know whap people say about sparring, but Valero has kicked some serious ass including Eric Morales's ass for the second Pacquiao fight.

Like you said earlier a fight with Soto would be a good measuring stick. IMO Soto is a pretty good fighter. He just came up against an even better one in Joan Guzman in his last fight. If Valero is able to beat a fighter like Soto then he maybe is as bad ass as some people think. For now though I just have to see it.

I think if Valero knocks out Soto he will have proved himself as a special fighter.

I agree. The guy can box when he wants to. He is a champion looking for a fight, and Pac's fans seem as if they are asking for credentials, and who did he fight. Trust me, he can fight. As Scott says, he can punch, and it looks like he punches hard without any effort. What I love is that he boyd punches, and Pac hasn't had to go through that a lot with someone who will be in his face. J.M.M boxed and hit him to the body, but valero will commit to this.

He is very open to counter shots but he has very good power, I wouldn't call him a great fighter.

lol please watch him fight. when he jabs he's so open his chin is sticking out. he'll be a counterpunchers dream come true. you could see his power punches coming and he has few footwork. power is all he has. but i still wanna see him fight some good names like soto as a measuring stick of what he's really made of. a retired mab or morales will toy w/ him.
