McClellan had a better chin than Pavlik. Pavlik has been down a few times from people who weren't massive punchers but McClellan took the best that Benn and Jackson had to offer. Obviously the injuries McClellan suffered make it hard to comment on the Benn fight, but he only went down voluntarily once he began haing problems and the injuries had already occured (IMO).

I think Gerald was better than Pavlik, but Pavlik has some advantages over him and may turn out to be a better fighter in a year or two. He is still improving and I have no doubt that his best is yet to come.

I thought about it...I just don't think Hearn's chin is that good to take what Kelly can give.

Well, its possible, but don't you think Hearns speed and incredible power would have Kelly quite significantly on the back foot? Hearns could really box and move too, so Kelly might find him very hard to hit.

Don't get me wrong, I like Kelly, but I think these type of predictions about him are wildly overestimating, or at least having a little too much faith in a guy who's best career wins are Edison Miranda and Jermain Taylor.

In time more and more people will have him winning over more and more opponents on that list. Pavlik is the real deal. He is very dangerous, in time he will become one of the best Middleweight/Super Middleweight/Light Heavyweight champions in history.

McCallum was at his greatest at 154 as well not 160.

I'm very fond of McCallum, the first time I saw he fight was against Jackson, i was surprised he weathered Jackson's early assualt.
Yes, McCallum was a very smart fighter and I think that he would beat Pavlik on points. McCallum was good on the inside and good defensively, as well as having a very good chin.

I am unsure how anyone could pick Pavlik to KO Mike McCallum. He was never KO'd, even though he fough Julian Jackson, James Toney and Roy Jones(the latter two once he was an old man!) but Pavlik could KO him? No way.

McCallum has some great wins over some very talented people.
