Neither guy has beaten a top guy. Maybe JT was the top guy in the division. But he was overrated. He never truly beat hop, and HBO thought they could work with him to make him a household name, and found out he aint that dude. JT is a nice guy, but he lacks skills to stay at the top level.

horse ****!!!!!!!!!! whether u think taylor lost against bhop, and winky does not matter. those fights were damn close, and the kid hung with both of them. that is fact, and to dismiss that means u know **** all on the sport.

Nobody dismissed anything. People think he lost the winky fight, and the hop fights as well. JT was overrated, and it showed in his fight with Pav. The sooner you believe that, the better. Don't make this out to be some great win Pav hs over taylor. Taylor has a lot of heart, but his time was coming. He hadn't looked great since those fights. When it came time to fight a prime true middleweight, he didn't last 7rounds the first fight, and was beaten up in the rematch. Pav is the goods, and is getting better and better, but there are better guys out there than Pav.

JT beat a younger bhop that could last 12 rounds more convincingly than calzaghe beat a 43 y.o hopkins

JT 2x>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anyone kessler has beat

Yea but...those were some major shots Pavlik got hit with...and it was more than just one shot. the fact he survived that and came back to win the next round seems more like a + than a - to me.

And Calzaghe was almost just as badly hurt against Kabary Salem on one of his bad nights. and Hopkins, from what Ive heard at least, was in serious trouble against Segundo Mercado on more than one occasion. The only time Ive seen Margarito hurt was against Daniel Santos off of two pretty huge left hands, but that didnt last long. so even fighters with good chins get hurt sometimes. plus look at guys like LaMotta and Chuvalo, they had massive chins but were still in trouble at times in their career.
In other words, it happens to everyone.

I never thought JT truly beat hop. JT's time was coming. He never showed power against a true middleweight, and when he did, he was taken out in less than 7 rounds. However any of you look at those other fights you talk about, I don't care. It is how he and his skills looked fighting those guys. JT didn't impress me to the point that he was getting better. In fact he was regressing.

40Cal was hurt the most imo by bodyshots by charles brewer. It was the first time i ever saw 40Cal wince with pain. Hop was more stunned that hurt when he went down against mercado. I've never seen margs hurt by santos and those left hands. Good post though. You are right, it happens to everyone. ali said he doesn't have a problem seeing a fighter go down, it's when he can't get up is when you have a problem.

He is lucky that 40Cal will be older when they fight. Taylor and lockett are ok comp, nothing spectacular. And Pav fans, don't ever rank miranda amongst the elite. He made a name off of breaking mans jaw and losing.
Kessler got something to proove as well. Hes Dannish though -jk.. I just thought Pavliks 2 wins againts a guy that has beat Hopkins twice, Drawn with Wright, Out pointed Corey Spinks was beaten decisively and easiliy by Pavlik. Hopefully they make that happen it would be interesting like I said. Kessler fades though and againts Calzaghe he stopped fighting.. Kelly looks to be a machine.
