Kessler: Pavlik has never fought a Division A guy!

To team palles website Mikkel Kessler today says that if Joe Calzaghe ends up fighting Roy Jones Jr., he wouldn't mind facing off against world middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik this autumn:

"I've told Mogens and Bettina Palle that I wouldn't mind fighting Pavlik. It's true that Kelly impresses with his power, but it's against opponents who neither move or punches back. He has never fought a Division A guy like myself!"

Pavlik is exciting but let these guys come at him at 160 not 168 that way Pavlik's power is a advantage.

This would be a good fight to see. I am not of the opinion that Kessler murders Pavlik. I think this fight would be pretty tactical and close.
Let's see what Kessler does in his next fight. He needs to redeem himself for the Calzaghe loss.

Pavlik is a damn sight better than Andrade or Mundine.

Overall, seems like a nice fight but I don't think Arum would go for it at this juncture.

This would be a GREAT MATCHUP!

Pavlik has more power and more of a killer instinct, but Kessler has greater athleticism, skill and accuracy.

Pick 'em fight IMO.

Miranda isn't. I know that. Taylor was a champ but he fought crappy like 5 straight fights before looking half way decent against Pavlik on the 2nd go round. All the same he was middleweight champ. Miranda has never been anything but a slugger.

This seems to be Pavlik's second best match-up after Calzaghe. I think they should make it.
