it wasnt his heart...i dont know why people keep saying that.
He took shot after shot against douglas for a couple of rounds. Looking back at it he showed tremendous heart and chin as well as during the holyfield 1, lennox lewis and danny williams fight. I have never seen a boxer get hurt still stand and take onslaughts like he did during those fights.
Dont listen to atlas because he really hates tyson and cus for an altercation that lead to him being banned from the castkills. (Why he would think he could pull a gun on a young kid and get away with it still amazes me to this day)
Mike's only problem has been his mental discipline. THe fight was already lost predouglas because mike was busy ****ing those japanese girls. He said you would have thought he was Cesar or caliguala the way he was partying and **** in japan. Also he said he never took the fight serious and didnt even train which led to him gettin his ass kicked.
As far as holyfield 2...this fight pisses me off till this day. Every one wants to paint holyfield as an ultimate warrior but thats far from the truth. Fact is holyfield was fighting dirty and head butting mike repeataly. Mills lanes hated mike and when mike brought it to mills attention in the 1st round mills did nothing. SO mike took it to the next level and bit holyfields ear. Even now a famous steriod trainer admitted Holyfield was on the roids during that time.
Post prison mike is were all of this is evident though. Mike became an undisciplined head hunter and neglected his bob and weave still. He relied way too much on his power and not the technique and skills that made him a star in the 80s. Hell when rooney was training him you never saw mike get cleanly hit and rarely hurt in fights. He was very patient and disciplined when fighting back then
Sorry for the diatram but im tired of the mike has no heart. Every tyson loss was never mike failing to get up but mike still wanting to fight after getting brutually beat the **** outta and the ref stepping in to stop the fight.
