JONES is gonna bring it to Calzaghe. I hope Jones pulls this off and solidifies his career on top!

It's because Calzaghe at his BEST was only HALF as good as Roy Jones Jr.!

In all honesty, if anything, Roy being only "HALF" as good as he used to be at this point, gives Calzaghe a chance to make it a decent fight.

If the fight went down 10 years ago, Roy Jones Jr. smokes Calzaghe with ease, it wouldn't make it to the 5th Round. Calzaghe fans are LUCKY Joe didn't fight Roy back then, because they would have been witness to just how weak Calzaghe truly is.

And they still might yet in this one....

Yeah, just like Jones would have destroyed hopkins ten years ago or won a shutout. Oh Forgot, they did actually fight and superman Jones looked ordinary in that fight and lost 4 rounds to Hopkins.
Feather fisted bum Lou Del Valle went 12 rounds and knocked down a PRIME Roy Jones in 1998, he's always had a glass chin. This talk about him KOing Calzaghe is nonsense, in late 90's it would be a close 12 round fight. Today Calzaghe would win far easier against Jones than he did against Hopkins, cause unlike Hopkins Jones is shot.

Man! Does Joe "The ***" Calzaghe really want to be remembered as a fraud who couldn't beat anyone unless they were shot? Obviously he does because he lived his whole career this way but still. Doesn't he know that the majority of boxing fans think he's a joke. Does he only care about his rabid nut suckers? I guess so...

This fight is a worry...I like JC but unless this is an absolute war in which both men perform admirably its a real shame for JC and more ammo for the... ***********CHC'S (Calzaghe hating ****suckers)*******************
If JC wins a boring fight (as many say it will be) then he has to step up and face Kelly Pavlik if thats what Pav really wants...its the only way he will get some credability with the CHC'S.

He won't get by Roy. In the unlikely event he does, by some miracle, facing Pavlik will be the worst decision he ever makes. Not only does he retire immediately, he retires with a loss and by BRUTAL KO!

Give the guy a break...if we were all as good at picking fights as some of us think we were we would be rich through betting big on them wouldint we???
Mate if this RJJ fight happens go and put $1000 on the fight for a RJJ win and tell me you feel 100% safe...lmfao

This sums up this whole thread.

                  Calzaghe is a joke.

Cal would get more respect if he just retired tomorrow. Fighting more washed up a washed up version of someone he should have fought years ago only reminds fans of the fights he should have already taken years ago.

I know you will now tell me that Taylor is better than that Hopkins, and since he beat him twice I believe you have an argument, but do you think any version Hopkins would get KO'd by Kelly? I don't.
With all due respect the version of Eubank that Calzaghe fought was NOT better than Jermain Taylor.

You also mentioned in a previous post that Jones was too old, among other things. Well then how can we give Calzaghe any credit for beating him??
