I have only been around since the 80's so Im only gonna comment on from then until now. The baddest man I have seen in Boxing is Mike Tyson. Not because he was the best fighter I have ever seen, not because he beat all the best fighters, but because he was one of those champs where everyone pretty much agreed that he was a bad mother ****er. Alot of guys he fought (pre Douglas) were ready to piss themselves before the fight even started. Mike also had amazing one punch KO's that made it on all of the highlight reels on the news and sportscenter. Everyone knew when Mike was fighting, even the most casual of fans. Also, Mike LOOKED like a tough guy. Like a guy you wouldnt ever mess with. Plus, he gave us "Punch Out." That is one of the best games ever.

Barrera was also a killer outside of it.

That's my top choice. He was one scary mother****er in his day. There are stories that when he was in prison he had a standing offer to fight any two inmates at once if there was money to be won.
