some people dont even seem to remember that Oscar had a long career below 147.

Oscar was quicker and jabbed more often in his prime. Due to that, I think that he would win a UD in a close fight.

people always bring up the Quartey fight, but its not exactly a guarentee that Floyd would have beaten him anyway you know...Floyd was a talented fighter, but that doesnt make him invincible, especially at the higher weights. with Quartey's incredibly good jab, he would have a very good chance at beating Floyd, because overall thats probebly the punch Floyd was most open to.

Oscars jab was working for him, Qurtey who had the best freaking jab would've beaten floyd.

i don't know if it's a given that prime oscar beats floyd.

it'd be pretty even money though. the problem is i've never really seen floyd caught really flush or seriously hurt. i don't know how to gauge his chin.

oscar at 135 , i don't know if floyd can handle a flush left hook from a young oscar.

i think prime shane at 135 would've more than likely beat floyd. shane at 135 was a monster.

The whitaker fight told me all i needed to know about them fighting at different points in their careers. Take that however you want.

Oscar lost to Hopkins Mosley and Felix Tito Trinidad. He was never near Mayweather class. 39 and 0

So was mayweather, mayweather had a better career at 135 then shane, shane was making the same mistakes hes making now, Mayweather was better all around at 135 with a better resume.

                    yup.

castillo-mayweather is up there in that record book.

                    right above marquez-pacquaio 1 and 2 and right under marquez-john and marquez-norwood......

and floyd never fought anyone in hopkins , mosley and tito's class......

but it's all relative and subjective...... we're basing opinions of this fighter on opinions of other fighters......

floyd's biggest wins for me are corrales , castillo and oscar (yeah he was old but what young fighter doesn't beat older past prime one?)

oscar jumping to hopkins i regard a bigger risk than floyd jumping to fight oscar.

mosley and tito are a level up on castillo and corrales imo as well.

of course......difference is oscar made a fight of it and loss......floyd on the other hand won , big difference.

all in all very tough to compare those 2 resumes...... oscar fought the best but he loss more than his fair share...... floyd didn't fight the caliber of opponents as oscar but then again he never loss...... very tough to judge each other's resume against each other.
