Oscar woulda put a whoopin' on Floyd in his prime, At the point when Shane and Oscar fought thier first fight, they both woulda beaten Floyd pretty easily. They were just as fast as him, more active, and had real welterweight power.

Oscar is on par with Shane. They've always been pretty equal in thier fighting abilities. Shane took Cotto to the limit, with many experts believing Shane deserved at least a draw or better. Given the outcome of thier fight, I am saying right now, that Oscar has a chance to make the fight interesting and I believe it will definately be competitive. Oscar's got the skills to make it such. We'll have to see how Cotto deals with a real Welter when he fights Marg. If he has a tough time with Tony, Oscar's got a good shot and beating him.

Yes toyed! LOL! It wasn't even close. It was obvious that one judge didn't know how to score a fight. How many times have you used that same old excuse? LOL! I bet you're one of the few who predicted an oscar win before the fight.

And so much for any brains for you.

That's common sense yet you obviously don't have it.

That is the perfect image of what is going to happen to cotto everybody thinks that cotto is going to win but really margarito is too much to handle for cotto. That is why de la hoya made cotto the front runner for his december fight he should fight the winner of the fight which will be margarito. That will probe to everybody that maywhether should have never being the best pound for pound he ducked all the best fighters.

It's called smart boxing. Why is it that when your fighters get beat you guys always use the same old excuse? Past his prime, shot, shadow of his former self, worn, old, etc. It's the same old crap you guys have been using for thousands of years. LOL!

I read Yahoo Sports, ESPN and all sort of Boxing Websites by giving Mayweather the credit he needs.. But in the end of the article, I usually read how he ducked and avoid Cotto..... Mayweather will always be remembered for Ducking Cotto..

Mayweather would beat Cotto decisively. Cotto is a bit faster then Castillo but a similar style, a smart body puncher. Mayweather is to small to be in the welterweight division, he should be fighting at 140. He came up to 147 chasing DLH to get his Dad's approval. He's been chasing him for years, ever since his dad told him the infamous "You'll never be as good as Oscar." Mayweather love him or hate him would beat anyone from 147 down. He is to good at defense and to accurate to be beat. Cotto would get popped badley, he doesn't have the footwork to keep up with Mayweather, or the speed. Cotto's chin would be tested badly and he has been hurt by fighters without the narley accuracy that Mayweather brings. Mayweather is to shifty and gives to many angles for Cotto to be as efficient as he normally is.
I would say that Oscar can beat Cotto, his left hook is always there. Oscar has legitimate one punch power, he can turn the fight around with one punch, this would be far and away the hardest puncher Cotto has ever fought. While I think Cotto has the tools to be Oscar I don't know if he can take the punches that Oscar would hit him with, where as I don't think Cotto could hurt Oscar. I think that it just depends who's game plan is better. Cotto can and should win an old Oscar but I do question Cotto's ability to take a punch from DLH.
Mosley imo won the Cotto fight, but it was a close fight that I do realize can go either way depending on how you score. Cotto to me still has to prove himself as he faces these older fighters, which he has yet to take the spotlight, DLH knocked out these older fighters when he litterally took the reign of the division from the older guys then facing guys like Trinidad and Quartey as well as others in their prime as champs. Cotto really hasn't took out the top dogs in the division, and really to me hasn't won fights as dominantly as I want to see for him to be considered the linear champ.
