hey man i think you need to educate yourself on boxing before you comment like that. pavlik has power and that means he has a chance against anyone. but on top of that he is a very skilled fighter with great stamina and chin and he will hunt calzage down if he decides to run.

roy jones is old. he is close to calzages age but roy jones has been in alot more tough fights and he has also moved up to heavyweight and it messed up his reflexes and stamina. roy jones is just a name right now just like dlh. beating him dont mean nothing. pavlik is a young hungry fighter on the rise and that is why he has put fear into the heart of calzage.

I need to find these reports where Joe said he didn't want to fight a prime Roy. I know that there's an interview with Roy saying the reverse, but...

Or ONE fine ass girl every weekend?

          It's about quality not quantity.
What opposition is this exactly? Pavlik has faced Taylor, who won the middleweight title with two questionable wins over hopkins and Miranda, a one dimensional slugger who hasn't beaten anyone of note.

Hahahaha talk about telling it like it is.

I think this every time someone says Pavlik has fought better opposition, but I can't be bothered with fat yanks crying at me, so I don't post it.

            Props.

Also, Roy turned Joe down when he was at SMW, which was, by consensus, his prime.

Joe was chasing Jones and Hopkins for years, and they didn't want to know.

Funny how the situation is different now though, isn't it?

So Lacy, Kessler and 43 year old Hopkins arent questionable opponents?

              These are Zaghe's BEST wins!

Calzaghe's strategy is clearly to fight names who would have beaten him in their prime, but that he can now beat when they are washed up. If Calzaghe fights RJJ, does this mean Calzaghe is handpicking yet another opponent?
Of course it does. And have no fear, Anyone who's not a Calzaghe butt sniffer knows this is the case. The first round of the Hopkins fight proved that Calzaghe is not on these guys level. Joe's done great with what he has but will never be put in that elite category by any knowledgeable boxing fans. That sissy boy slapping style and carefully managed undefeated record turns to many people off....

Depends, Roy called Joe out, but picking Roy over Pavlik....hmmmmm

Oh and Pavlik does not have a better resume then Joe.

VIVA MEXICO - wake up man!!! you really think pavlims scares joe what does he bring to the table that joe has not seen before - pavlik you could argue is a taller and less powerful version of kessler!! joe has takken on 2 young undefated dighters who were champions and beat them both in lacye and kessler - yet pricks like you say they aren't ready or were over rated anyway - iv got a funny feeling that when joe beats kelly you'll just use the same excuse again!

FLIGHTNEWS55 - ffs sake lad give joe some ****ing credit!!! you're saying that joe is handpiing older fighters like bernard and RJJ now that theyre washed up!?!?!? joes been chasing these 2 fighters for years but they always turned him down because they knew he had a crappy risk/reward ratio for them (RJJ is proabably excused from this). you're the type of fan who was having a go at joe when he beat kessler and lacey - saying he onlyfights young overrated fighters and then when he goes and asks for fights against hopkins and RJJ you say that hes only fighting young over rated fighters!!!! seems like joe cant win.

joe really must be the most under rated and disrespected fighter on these boards - everyone from his generation ignored him and thats not his fault. yet hes still managed to beat the best youngsters and some of the best older fighters who have been near him - yet ppl continue to say hes over rated

                      UN-****IN-BELIEVABLE!!!!
