Calzaghe Turns Down Kelly Pavlik, Wants Roy Jones

He got hit with an elbow in a basketball game the day before the fight... he had 6 stiches in his eye during that fight, thats why he had the swelling...

i stayed in the same hotel as him and was standing right next to him in the hotel after the fight, right before the roy jones after party... he had stitches in his eye...

and the one time hanshaw landed a clean right... roy unloaded one of the sickest uppercut/left hook combos and knocked him down, it seemed to oonly piss him off

That's true, he probably won't be doing anything new at this stage of his career, clinching his way out is the best option though because, 1) It doesn't open himself up for counter shots and 2) It saves him some valuable energy.

yeah, i cant see roy tying him up... but just putting his guard up.. and HE WILL counter joe with straight right hands...

when someone starts beating you to the punch, you slow down your flurries... theres something about roys hand speed that intimidates his opponents... im not saying joe will be intimidated, but when you start getting hit with a punch you cant even see coming, you slow your roll down a little bit...
