Look, Paul Revere told us they were coming, and we won. What the hell??? lol Go change your screen name. You sound like a slob asking your wife to make you a pork grinds sandwich. You probably have a young wifebeater on with a jockstrap sitting in a school desk, typing away at your keyboard you sick, psychotic piece of rhinoceros dung.

You know, I will give Jones more of a chance than Hopkins had just because he has a higher workrate. Even though I think Hopkins even though he was older had more left in the tank than Jones does. Hopkins never has had a busy style and Calzaghe is a volume puncher and its hard to beat someone even if your landing clean effective punches if your getting outlanded 20-10 per round.

Still boggles my mind though. Jones does offer more money maybe, but a Pavlik fight would bring more excitement. I honestly suffered through Calzaghe/Hopkins, it was boring. I really dont want to see Calzaghe vs another old fighter.

This guy is so full of ****! Lockett and dad reported that Pavlik was serious so now he wants 2 go back up in Age 2 fight Roy. This is how you manage a career. Take the least amount of risk as OBVIOUSLY possible and package it as if you are doing the fans a favor. This guy is a fraud and I fear that he may get away with it when his career is finally over!

Calzaghe has wasted his career fighting bums in the UK. He has never risked anything. His period was the 90s, where he turned down Jones Junior, Steve Collins, Toney, Tarver etc. Turning down the Jones, Toney, Tarver and Johnson fights because he didn't want to fight abroad, dodging the top american super-middleweights - Jones Junior, Hopkins, Toney, Tarver, Johnson. He has managed to go 15 years without getting in the ring with Jones Junior, Hopkins, Toney, Glen Johnson, Tarver, Jermaine Taylor. You kind of forget to mention the entire 1990s, where Calzaghe dodged 2 fights with Hopkins, 2 with Jones Jnr, 1 with Glenn Johnson and 1 with Steve Collins. Calzaghe has dominated a terrible division, and hasn't beat any of its top fighters in the last ten years (Jones Jr, Tarver, Toney, Hopkins, Johnson). Tarver, Glenn Johnson, James Toney and Roy Jones were all fighting at Super Middle until 2002. They were the class of the division, and Joe didn't get in the ring with any of them. Your kind of forgetting that he hasn't fought any of the top middle/super middleweight fighters of his generation. James Toney, Glenn Johnson, Antonio Tarver, Hopkins, Jermaine Taylor, Roy Jones and the fact that Joe C ducked absoultey every contender of the 90s. Jones, Tarver, Johnson, Toney etc. He spent his 20s and early 30s fighting trash, when he should have been over in America, chasing Toney, Hopkins, Jones, Tarver, Johnson, Taylor. Everyone knows that Calzaghe has missed/ducked every viable fight that has been available in the last 15 years. From middle to Light Heavy- they were all there for years. It's only maybe 2003-present that he has been interested in fighting anyone!

Go read my last reply to you dude.

This post is a lot better, you seem to really want a Pavlik matchup, as do many which is leading to a kinda angry biased, subjective reaction.

And dude, Joe will nearly be 37, Roy 40 when they fight, it's only a few years, seriously.

It's been explained to you Calzaghe would have no reason for ducking Pavlik, he's openly said he wants dangerous fights to get motivated for and perform his best, example being Kessler to name just one. He's old himself and only wants top fights. He and many see Roys attributes and style more of a challenge to over come, and many agree. They are a bigger weapon against Joe than Pavlik. Roy and Joe are only a few years apart and both past they're prime. He's always said he wanted Roy, known Kelly's dangerous for ages like all of us, and said he's willing to fight him if Roy deal doesn't come through. Clearly it has, Kelly beating some chump changes nothing.

Your proving my statement, that you've hardly spent any time looking into the details of anything you speak of, and just subjectively rant based on hunches that suite your local agenda.
I just dont get some of you guys. Have you watched a jones fight in a few years? When I seen the Hanshaw fight I really prayed for him to retire, and most people I heard talking about the fight said that he should retire before he gets hurt. A prime Roy Jones would have destroyed Hanshaw. But instead it went to the cards with me only seeing maybe two good flurries from Jones. Before the fight Jones promised he'd show his hand speed and all those other things that we all loved him for. But he just couldnt physically do it, it was almost sad to watch.

I really think you have not seen him in a long time.

I also believe Jones (who will probably lose) will show him a thing or too, like Hopkins did. Joe looked scared after the first round. He was lucky to get that decision. It could have gone either way.
It's too early for Pav to ask fore a fight like that when he is unproven in some people's eyes. Boxers say fighters have to pay their dues. I know many of you are disappointed, but Pav has to prove himself more imo. He isn't insulting Pav, he is saying prove yourself, then we'll fight.
AKA another way to say I dont want to take the risk of fighting Pavlik. If he seriously knew he could beat Pavlik he wouldve taken the fight.

Lets face it even max kellerman said it himself Pavlik is the GODZILLA of the middlweight division and was willing to move up to fight Joe.

How can Joe say he thinks Pavlik doesnt want to fight him? This is a bad copout.
