I like both fighters, but in this matchup I'll be rooting for Pavlik.

I voted Pavlik. I believe it could make both fighters more legendary in the long run. I see Joe trying to beat a couple of current names and retire undefeated. I'll say again that Joe's record is quite lackluster and that a loss to Pavlik would motivate him to fight better and more challenging competition to regain his legacy, including a rematch with Pavlik.

Pavlik is only moving up in the sport, a win against Calzaghe would move him up on the p4p list. From there he has a fight with Kessler or Abraham or Wright. I see Pavlik's career going up and down dramatically over the next few years, and hopefully if Calzaghe loses, his will too.

Well, yeah, but that's just 'cause you're still mad about Kessler's loss

By the way, that loss didn't hurt Mikkel. He might've lost the fight, but he looked great doing it. I know that sounds crazy, but he really did fight perfectly. Calzaghe just beat him with experience, skill, and work rate. No shame in the loss at all, in my opinion, and if I had to pick someone who'd stand a chance at beating Joe, it'd be a Kessler rematch. He's a smart kid, and I think he learned alot in that fight, and would do many things differently in a rematch.

No, it's not actually. I never really liked Calzaghe to be honest.

Kessler missed weeks of sparring and had a ****ed up hand in that fight by the way.. He still went to Wales and fought his ***** ass.

Pavlik by KO in the 6th. Joe's work rate isn't gonna mean **** if he can't get inside. This will be a replay of Mayweather/Hatton. Joe will look to smother and work to try and offset his size adv - ain't gonna happen. Calzaghe is giving up 10 years in age - 2 1/2 inches in height and an inch in reach. Yes, KO in 6.

                  Typical british answer, but Calzaghe.

I now have to withdraw the "most sensible poster" award that I had mentally given you.
