I think Calzaghe will have relatively little trouble with Pavlik. Skill beats will and Calzaghe has all of the skill in this matchup.

The only danger for Joe is if he gets old all of a sudden.

Even though I like Pavlik and he only lives a few miles away, I want Calzaghe to win and i think he will win by decision. It will be a hard fight as Calzaghe's legs are older and he throws wide shots, but i see him using his superior technical ability and great footspeed to box his way to a decision. Pavlik is no slouch and he will definitely bring the fight to Calzaghe.

Calzaghe needs to make a few adjustments for this fight as well. He doesn't need to get brave and trade becuase if he does, then he would be giving Pavlik his oppurtnities to win the fight. Calzaghe has not fought a fighter with the consistantcy, stamina and constant pressure of Pavlik. Calzaghe nees to be on his best game thoughout the fight.

I like Pavlik here. I give Kelly a hop step in advantage if he can keep the bout a trench war and make Calz pay here and there for his reckless flurries with solid body shots.

Despite my can't standing of how Joe punches I think this fight is 50/50. Kelly is in his prime and battle tested against top opposition. Joe wins easy if Kelly freezes on the slap box flurries and can be kept at a distance.

It was a really hard choice, cuz i like both of them. Since Joe is on the way out, I think a win would benefit pavlik more, so i'm going with him.

Two of my favorites, too, though I don't look at it the same way. I enjoy seeing my favorite fighters tested. It reminds me of why I like them so much.

As for the poll, I'm not going to be cheering for either fighter. I like them both, and will thoroughly enjoy the fight, but won't be necessarily rooting for either. I think Calzaghe will win, and I think it'll be a good candidate for fight of the year, if not decade. I don't think it'll end by KO or TKO, but it wouldn't surprise me if Calzaghe decides to really set down on his shots if he sees the opportunity. Remember, he'll probably retire after this fight. And I don't care how many morons call him "Calslappy", the guy is only feather fisted when he wants to be. Doesn't anybody remember what Lacy's face looked like at the end of that fight? He hits harder than people think.

Anyway, I'm predicting Calzaghe by 3 to 5 rounds, or late TKO. When the fight is over, remember who predicted the distinct possibility of a late stoppage. That is all.
