DQ'd? For what? I didn't see anythign wrong.

I am a huge Valero fan, but it would be great to see him step it up. He hits hard, and despite being a bit raw, he has a good jab, good chin, good stamina, ok defense, and great speed. He has some okay wins, and one good win (Vicente Mosquera) but its time to step it up.

EDIT: Wow, ignore the top part. I just saw the massive hit while he was down. That was unfair, but to Valero's credit, in that midst of that when the guy is only half way down its hard to know. Jones/Griffin I styel

I can retract my disgust a little bit, too.

On second watch, the opponent doesn't actually take a knee -- he's just squatted real low, both knees bent deep. The referee only half-heartedly tries to separate them, so if his intention was to call Shimada down, he did both fighters a disservice by not committing to his decision.

But still, with one glove on the rope and the other practically begging Valero off, I think Edwin could have pulled that punch. Instead, he ****ed, made a slight adjustment, then fired.

Pacman needs to fight Valero at 135lbs............ That's the fight that must happen. After Valero is allowed to fight in the U.S. a couple of times, the fans will demand this fight. What a SHOOTOUT this would be. POWER vs POWER.

          blow by blow

There's still rawness on how Edwin Vlero fights. Similar to upstart fighters that we see on "BLOW BY BLOW". He's like a new professional boxer who just wants to go for the kill. Very raw, very hittable, very beatable.

Daniel Ponce De Leon looks like a polished boxer compared to Valero.

His ass ould be whooped up by the cream of the crop but they have to agree to fight him to prove I'm wrong.

What if he Juan Manuel MArquez agrees to fight him? Isn't that a real tester? He wants to fight the best, maybe he should start calling out Marquez. If he beats Juan Manuel then he'll have the best going after him.

He should start calling out fighters who can possibly fight him not the ones who have committments, it's a long shot in aggreing to fight him.

Valero has lots to prove. He should make his way up and not take on fighters that he could easily beat. Start with Barrera(stepping stone, shot big name), thenJorge Barrios (tough nut, trades), then Joan Guzman(slick), Juan Manuel Marquez(tactician), then Manny Pacquiao(bulldozer).

He should earn his way up, not like a "one shot, big shot". See what I mean?

            bums

VAKERO should've been disqualified with this fight against Shimada. Ref did a poor job on that situation. Doesn't know what to do. mIt'could've been a DQ or a deduction.

            Valero pummeling bums.

Valero will get exposed if he ever faces Marquez, Guzman or pacquaio.
