Edwin Valero Stops Shimada, A Move To 135 Next?

Edwin Valero (24-0, 24KOs) dominated and then stopped Japan's Takehiro Shimada (22-4-1, 15KOs) in the seventh-round to retain his WBA super featherweight title in Tokyo, Japan. Valero closed the deal with a right hook in the seventh-round to send Shimada down and force referee Guillermo Perez Pineda to stop the bout. [details]

            Valero is a hype job

            Anybody seen Valero fight? lol
He makes Ponce de Leon look polished.
Wild haymakers, chin up, no defense...
Valero will get blown out against the first good fighter he faces.

Remember all the hype about that russian Victor Oganov who was 26-0 (26)?
The he met a good fighter- Fulgencio Zuniga - and got schooled and KO'd.

It'll be the same thing with Valero.
One countershot and the hype is over.

Its almost done. I've read from another boxing forum ( Nate's promoter/manager is a poster there) that the only thing left to be settled are the date and the venue of the fight. WAR Nate!!!

130 will officially be a ghost town if Valero vacates.

Whoever wins that is THE best fighter in and around the weight class in my opinion.

I actually saw that fight live here in washington, he got schooled. Fortunately James Kirkland was on the undercard too.

But I agree, Valero will be schooled against a top dog.
