Miguel Cotto: "Mayweather's Choice Don't Affect Me"

Unbeaten WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto seems unfazed by the recent retirement announcement by Floyd Mayweather Jr. For almost two-years, boxing fans have been calling for a Mayweather-Cotto bout to settle the issue on which of them is the best fighter at 147-pounds. Mayweather was scheduled to fight Oscar De La Hoya in a September rematch, but announced his retirement last Friday. [details]

Man lol...Floyd Sr. is off the hook. Ellerbe is a bologna smuggler? The gay community and Bob Lee are going to come after Sr. lol Sr. wants a big payday with dlh. Dlh better not try to fight floyd, cotto or margs at 147. His body won't react like it wants to.

ugly boy mayweather jr is an intrepid. he feared no one in the ring. he can fight and beat anyone who stand in his path. his untimely announcement of retirement last friday was caused by the following factors:
        1) he is scared of the tactics his ugly father has employed on oscar to beat him; and
        2) he is denying ugly old floyd's "supposed" biggest purse.

        1) scared of the tactics his ugly father will employ on oscar. this is one of the reason why ugly boy floyd announce he quit boxing. considering the pay he is supposed to get in that fight, i can't imagine how "money may" quit the sport and get the biggest purse of his life.

        2) denying ugly old floyd his biggest pay. their animosity towards each other is one of the reason i saw why ugly boy floyd quit boxing. if he will fight oscar, his ugly father will get the biggest "pf" in his entire life. so in order to deny ugly old floyd's biggest money, he chose to quit boxing.

so, another drama unfolds in the historic ugly mayweathers.

Mayweather, to his credit, would of beaten Oscar yet again, probably worse this time. It's Cotto you guys should be hatin' on him about. Oscar, I mean have you looked at his last 5 bouts, was just trying, HOPING, for one last left hook to concrete himself into gazillionaire heaven where he already resides. Cotto is the one who should be holding his head for not getting to show what a truly great warrior he is and expose PBF for what he IS.

And Cotto should move on... he's doing his thing and that's ok. If he goes on like he did... and May should come back he's the only one he can fight. Cause I hope Cotto beats DLH. And Hatton will probably loose to Malignaggi. The Hatton fight either way makes no sense at all. So there is only Cotto left who should dismantle DLH and everything will work out... I still believe *loooooooooool*

First off... why should he be afraid of his dad teaching Oscar his style or whatever. First off 39 different coaches have tried to find something to beat May and they couldn't. His father teached him his system and why should a coach allow in their own system a mistake or something that your fighter can beat??? Second off he learned it all as he was child. So he knows it better then anybody else. Even if DLH could figured it out he still needs the stamina and speed to get to him... which he can't. He would also had to make 147 pounds which I think he can't or only with every sacrifice possible so he would be dead meat.

Still don't see why Cotto should beat May... the Mosley fight showed me enough... as Mosley started to move and box he was winning almost every round. The same would May do. The fight is interesting though... cuz Cotto comes forward all the time and with power. So it's still for me the most interesting fight, but still one that Floyd wins.

Cotto has class when he said those statements... he knows, Floyd is scared of him... he will come out of retirement in a few months or so... it will be like, Trinidad's doing right now, calling out opponents that doesnt interest him anymore...
PBF is entertaining but not great... ok now Floyd, go let Ellerbe scuk your dcik... hahahaha...

eventhough i think cotto can beat him i still think shane has the best shot. speed stamina power most of pbf opponents lacked one of these.
