As of right now Williams is just another alphabet titalist until after the Cotto vs. Margarito winner. If by chance Margarito beats Cotto by KO or convincing UD then Williams stands at the top of the Welter Weight Division no question. It all hinges on the outcome of July 26th.
fair assessment.... cant wait for this fight... im more excited than i was for cotto mosley... and i went to that one!

I believe Cotto can win maybe by KO. I don't know whether or not Williams body can hold up, does he weigh in at 147 or close to it in his fights? We need to see more from Williams though it would be interesting, but the big height & reach advantage for Williams can play into effect.

And I don't think Cintron is the hardest puncher in the division, he knocked out nobodies.

That's exactly the way I see it playing out....Williams is overrated, he catches Quintana early and now all these guys are nuthuggin him like he's the 2nd comin...These clowns seem to forget that Quintana schooled Williams just a few months ago.

Williams would get ****ed up by Cotto.

that's what I mean.. you thought he would get through Quintana easy but struggled and lost.
You're saying he will get through Cotto easy.. when Cotto ****s harder and is a better boxer then Quintana and Margarito.

          It's a tough fight brah..

He must be talking about his height and weight. Williams is very thin in the middle. Its like hitting a sampling vs. hitting a full grown oak tree with a bat. You can hit a Oak tree all day long and not knock it down, but a sampling you hit once or twice and it topples. Piss poor example but Cotto is known for his body punching, it just stands to reason that Williams is going to have a tough time taking those kinds of body shots. Williams could prove me wrong but until he does I'm gonna go with Cotto via KO.

I just cant help thinking how Cotto has so much body to hit on Williams long frame, If williams can take it to the body especially the left hooks then maybe he can lose by decision, If not i see Cotto winning by bodyshot.

I would love to see Williams with Clottey, That would give me more idea on how a fight with Cotto would go but as of now...Bodyshot.

Cotto stops Williams in the mid-late rounds after making some spatial/rhythmic adjustments. For all of the great things Paul showed us against Quintana, he wouldn't be able to hold Cotto off of him for very long.

He'd take a beating after 5-6 rounds and Cotto would keep the pressure on until it was stopped one way or another.
