James Kirkland...Oh man..I cant believe I forgot all about him...Dude has got some POTENTIAL...He's going to do damage and he seems to get better with each and every fight. I became a fan of his when I saw him blast the savory vet a couple of months ago...The only thing that turns me off about Kirkland is that he's one dimensional( just my opinion) If he fights a guy that has good movement..I personally think he would get beat...Before I would place him as the guy to beat at 154 he needs to learn to box and have a back up plan.
With the top guys you just named...I still think Cory Spinks will bounce back and make some noise (I dont why I think he will but its just a gut feeling) Now that I think about it...154 has some decent talent in it.
Kirkland will always have a punchers chance, even if he is a little one dimensional.
But yeah, 154 is a good divison, it just has more old guys who are on their way outta the sport, than guys that are up and coming.
