Cal might fight Pav, and pac is fighting diaz. WOW. I like Pac, so i'm happy for him, but i have criticisms of him that are legitimate concerning his ranking, not his fighting. Floyd is still the best pfp. lol
Boxing is in a bad state when we have American fakes like Fake Floyd getting p4p honors yet ducking like the American coward that he is.

And even more worse when there are idiot fans like you who fall for that kind of ****.

He never lost and defended his title 20 plus times and none of the fights were even close. i would also have cotto as 2 he beat 4 top 10 welterweights in less than 12 months. hes never lost and hes in the toughest division in boxing.
      You need help kid.

      Undefeated proves nothing.

      Just look at ****** Floyd.

Undefeated yet ducked every elite of every division he jumped into.

        Joe Calzaghe never ducked anyone.

Miguel Cotto has run head-first into everyone.

Pac-man has definitely not ducked anyone.

Wins and losses don't necessarily matter. The all-time greats (short of Marciano) all have losses on their records. Undefeated happens so rarely, and yet it's now expected to be considered the top. If Cotto or Pavlik ever lose, for example, people will automatically stop including them in GOAT talks. The fact that Pacquaio has a winning record against the best around, means he deserves to be one of the best in pound-for-pound rankings.

Floyd should never have been #1, because he refused to fight the best at his own level. Money does not equal greatness in a world of entertainment.

That is your opinion. The boxing media like the Ring mag said it also that JMM have them winning in their scores but they also said that the fight was closed that could have gone either way. It went to Pac and they even said that the decision must stand and respeced.

He defended his belt 20x, and undefeated. Does it mean he is number 1. Yes Pac has 3 defeats, one in his early career, one where he lost his title due to making weight, and lost to Erik Morales.

Pac beat Morales twice. Yes his been to a lot of wars but he lost to Pac by TKO/KO. Raheem and David Diaz can't even do that. I already mentioned JMM on their rematch. Also the 1st fight, remember the mistake of the judge. If that mistake was corrected like the MAB-Juarez 1 on the first fight, Pac would also have won by split decision. He beat Barrera twice. He beat Ledwaba when he was the underdog. Pac is a 3x title holder, if you count the Ring title, that is 4. Pac also has been fighting in the US for awhile now. Now

Pound for pound is a matter of opinion. In mine, I don't think being undefeated is a very big deal. The quality of opposition should be the very first consideration. Calzaghe's quality of opposition PALES in comparison to Pacquiao's.

I give it to Manny with a close 2nd to Calzaghe with Pavlik in the 3rd spot. After that, has to be Cotto followed by Hatton. Vasquez is over rated and lost 4 times including the one 2 fights ago so I put him lower than he is in Ring. So what he has been in those wars with Marquez. I wont even touch on B-hop. Pointless. I really wonder who will graduate into the top 10. Wladimir Klitschko deserves it the most.
Pav is not ranked 3rd pfp, you have got to be out of your mind.

Please. Morales, barerra, were nothing like the way they used to fight. They are names on PAc's resume. Manny came along at the right time, and has been managed correctly. Did he really beat j.m.m??? Cal doesn't have names, he has substance. His wins were better overall imo.

I agreed with you until you tried to throw cotto in there, and then you lost it...
