I dont understand people who say Floyd never fought the best.

When Floyd moved up to 140 he called out Kosta tsyu,Kosta didnt want anything to do with it,instead Kosta chose Hatton.

Floyd called out Hatton,Hatton said 'maybe in 2 years will I be ready for the likes of Mayweather'
Floyd called out Cotto,Cotto wasnt ready.
Floyd called out Mosley-Mosley didnt wanna hear (Floyd called out Mosley when Mosley was at his peak)
Floyd didnt wait for Oscar to be old before calling him out,Floyd started calling out Oscar long back, and people thought he was crazy.Even by the time they fought Oscar had just brutally knocked out Mayorga. The reason the fight sold is partly coz many expected Floyd to be knocked out.

Somehow no matter what Floyd does,he will never get credit.Shamba Mitchel was good when Floyd knocked him out.Mitchell was good enough to mix it with Kosta yet when Floyd beat him,he was washed up.

The likes of Hatton were mocking Floyd for fighting Carlos, yet Carlos had beaten judah.Hatton wouldnt beat Carlos even now.

To be fair (and I was a fan of Floyd at the time), Tzsyu was injured when Floyd called him out.

I dont understand why people have little or no reading comprehension.

I clearly said, I AM NOT NKOCKING HIS WHOLE CAREER, I am talking about his decision to retire while in his prime and not make the fights every boxing fan would love to see, not sealing his legacy in the process.

Every fighter calls out other fighters even if they aren't ready, that isn't the point. The point is when both fighters are at the right point career wise, both fighters are in their prime and there is no other obstacle (beyond Floyd's decision to no longer fight) why can't the fight be made then.

Also, at welterweight his competition was weak. Baldomir was a smart move because he was a very beatable fighter who was the linear champ, but he's done nothing beyond that, and despite that he still has time. But, he doesn't want to fight the big names at 147, or else we would do it.

Tsyu was injured yet he was in discussions with the Hatton camp?

When Floyd moved up to 140 everyone gave excuses, worse after the Gatti fight.

Many people talk about Cotto now, have you ever heard Cotto committing himself to fighting Floyd at any point.Cotto leaves the decision to others, never takes responsibility.Cotto says 'I will fight whoever they put in front of me'.Cotto isnt comfortable with the Floyd idea.
