If he were to retire why the **** turn down 30 plus million, the only thing that kept him fighting in the first place. As a fan I say **** em. He definitely didn't have my interests in his mind whatsoever.

It could be a timing thing.The fight could be on after Oscar has fought someone.Rememebr Oscar wanted Hatton before Floyd,its possible Oscar wants Cotto for himself first to restore his credibility.That way a Floyd-Oscar fight will sell more.
If Floyd fights Cotto before Oscar ,people will scream 'we want Williams not Oscar',the Oscar fight would be hard to sell.Now that Floyd has 'retired',Oscar will beat Cotto then 'convince' Floyd out of retirement the way Hatton called Floyd out of 'retirement'.The fight will break records because Oscar will do to Cotto what he did to MayorgaComment

The DLH fight wasn't going to do half the numbers they did last year. I expect they were testing the marketing waters on it, and even the mainstream press is mentioning Cotto.
But it's also true he needs to do other things in life.
