How many times did that happen? He boxed the entire 12 rounds in the first N'dou fight, dominating. He boxed Ednar Cherry's socks off.

Against Ngoudjo, I blame McGirt's instructions and Paulie trying to execute them for the way the fight went. The second N'dou fight, well he had a bad hair day, simple as that.

Paulie is one of the best fighters on his feet moving, I don't see Hatton coming in close enough times to win. At best he will lose a 115-113 close but clear decision.

He folds under pressure. It's happened in his last two fights and he's looked like garbage in them. Hatton is still a pretty good pressure fighter regradless of him getting knocked out by Mayweather. While he looked like **** against Lazcano in a couple rounds, Hatton still could have looked a lot worse.

A bad hair day is still a mental thing. It's a mental thing and Hatton's pressure will cause him to lose track of his gameplan. Ngoudjo's pressure made Paulie still look like an idiot. Granted his trainer should have given him better instructions, who says he'll know what to do in the hatton fight? My guess is he won't and Hatton will beat him pretty convincingly.

Oh and Edner Cherry is nowhere near Ricky Hatton and Ngoudjo at all. Their pressure is a lot better then Cherry's.

Not entirely true. I've made my case well before the Hatton/Mayweather fight, that Ricky is not as good as Castillo and coudln't do what he did against Mayweather. I've argued with Hatton groupies (as have others) about the outcome of the fight and I was right.

Still they were right about one thing, Ricky Hatton was a Top 10 P4P undefeated fighter, who was the linear, Ring 140lb champion of the world.

At the end of the day, statistics are all that matter. Paulie will be beating Mayweather's leftovers, a 45-1 former champion who no longer is at the top of the P4P rankings.

No. I already have points with Burner and Raseed on it and don't want to risk anymore if Paulie actually does decide to get his **** together. I mean Paulie has all the tools (minus the power) to beat Hatton, but I don't think he has the mental game to stick to outboxing him.

Now If a lesser skilled fighter like Lazcano can land the same type of hook like Mayweather did, on Ricky's home turf with his own referee (who saved his ass btw), then you know Floyd would have knocked him out again in Manchaster at 140lb. Fortunately for Hatton, he got hit by Lazcano that night, not Floyd.


All you Hatton groupies need to stop making excuses.

To be fair, Hatton didn't see PBF's hook coming as he was charging forward in an almost desperate way (he was losing badly at that point) while the Hatton who got hit by Lazcano was more motivated and not desperate, he had that fight in control. Also Mayweather's laser guided punches allow him to hit home allot more often than Lazcano does.

Uh huh. Not sure that this is directly relevant to the specific point that I was making. However good you think Hatton is/was, he doesn't look as good if he loses to someone like Malignaggi, who is a good but not great fighter.

Paulie can win if he boxes going back and can tie Hatton up before he does it himself. Very few fighters specially in these weight classes know how to effectively clinch. Hatton is one of the few.
