Exactly. If you knew what kind of technical masters some of those guys were, and if you knew what it felt like to be jiujitsued, you wouldnt think it so boring.

Theres alot more to it than just "laying on top of eachother on the ground" They are really fighting for positions in order to submit eachother. If u thinks its just about "laying on top of eachother", than i would love to see u get in the cage with a grappler/wrestler! LOL

The sport is far from a joke. Its the most realistic combat sport in the world.
And boxing fans who hate do so due to ignorance and fear that boxing will die.
Well, boxing wont die. So quit with this us vs them ****. its just ******.
And the situation you are describing here sounds to me like you just dont understand grappling, or how MMA is scored.

Ground techniques are the most effectively and easily transferred to MMA. You get the best striker in the world with no ground game against the best grappler with no stand up game and 8 times out 10 the grappler will win.

yaeh i admit they are boring even if i like to watch their fights, which i dont, I really only watch mayweather fights back when he was 130-135. Anyways mma fans will never admit to a boring fight or the commentators, they view everything as a war.

There are plenty of boring fights in MMA, just like there are in all combat sports. Read some MMA message boards when someone like Sherk or Koscheck fight, or look at the UFC 84 bout of Machida vs Ortiz, there were plenty of MMA fans who found that boring (I found it good to watch personally).

What does the bolded phrase actually mean? "Most realistic combat sport"? It's a sport. I don't see how you can have sport which is any less or more "realistic" than any other. Like football is the most realistic ball and goal sport in which you principally use your feet, or table tennis is the most realistic paddle/ball/table sport?

I was in my mates house.. the UFC came on, and around 10 neutral spectators who had never watched it before were bored to **** watching two dudes grapple/mount on the floor.. taking the piss out of it at some points

MMA fans would enjoy the grappling, because of the skill/strength required..but its just a load of crap for people to watch

But boxing has "immediate" appeal.. who doesnt enjoy two guys punching eachother?

                  Anyone Agree?
