My Reason why MMA wont gain as many fans as Boxing

Nobody wants to see 3 rounds of men rolling around on the floor..
Dont get me wrong.. i can watch UFC, only really enjoying it when they dont take it to the ground..
I was in my mates house.. the UFC came on, and around 10 neutral spectators who had never watched it before were bored to **** watching two dudes grapple/mount on the floor.. taking the piss out of it at some points

MMA fans would enjoy the grappling, because of the skill/strength required..but its just a load of crap for people to watch

But boxing has "immediate" appeal.. who doesnt enjoy two guys punching eachother?

    Anyone Agree?

The way u see grappling/wrestling as boring, is the same way people view a technical/defensive fighter like Spinks, Bhop, Floyd, etc... "boring"

I'll never understand why a guy wins a round for getting outboxed and then climbing on the other guy's back for 2 minutes.

I literally saw a guy land 20 jabs on a guy for two rounds and lose the fight because according to the announcers he didn't "make the fight."

No, he only boxed the **** out of a guy with no abilities but to climb on somebody's back like a monkey

I understand there are bad decisions, but for the announcer to DEFEND IT told me their sport was a ****ing joke

I watch MMA for the grappling. If I wanted to watch two guys close their eyes and swing at each other I'd go to my local pub.

I was skeptical about MMA. But after watching a few fights and watching Elite XC broadcast on CBS it was enjoyable. Guys were getting ****ed up.

**** was hilarious the announching was funny as hell with Gus Johnson. The fights were pretty good too. There was this guy called the New York Badass fighting. Then once he got knocked out Gus Johnson said something along the lines of "And the New York badass just got smoked like a fine Cuban cigar."

ahaha it's really ******. when you think about it, why would a crowd of 10,000 want to watch 2 guys rolling around on the ground in the middle of an octagon? People say, but yeah its real fighting! Yeah it is till it hits the ground, then who cares?
