First among excuses could have been "Williams had an off night the first fight." Maybe even a valid excuse; but, having said that, what makes that excuse less valid on Quintana?
We've already seen Quintana dominate Williams.
Now we've seen Williams catch Quintana, and Quintana couldn't recover. I would definitely not call that domination -- as is always the case in boxing, one punch can end a fight or turn the tide which means that the best boxer wont always win.
So, like I said, Quintana deserves a rematch. You guys might not want to see it, and it's interesting how quickly people write off boxers just because they got KOed. Realize, however, that a KO and a clear UD are the same when it comes down to it, and the first is perhaps more telling of a boxers skill.
So why is Williams knockout more telling than Quintana's dominance of him the first fight?
Also, re****yalus needs to stop with his ridiculous analogy to the Montel/Jones fights. Jones was clearly beating Montel in the first fight and was on the way to knocking him out, but was DQed. Quintana dominated Williams the first fight and was looking fine in the second before he got caught flush and couldn't recover. Keep in mind that Paul weight drains himself to stay in a lower division and with 10+ pounds on Quintana at fight night means a lot.
