I agree Hagler should be among the top on that best chin list. The guy is simply like a solid concrete post that can never be shaken.

All that you guys have mentioned are excellent picks but Im amazed no one, including myself in a similar thread I began, has mentioned these five:
Juan Laporte, stood up while taking shots from Fenech, from the GREATEST PUNCHER OF ALL TIME, NAMED Wilfredo Gomez (40-1-1-, 40 kos before their fight) from Julio Cesar Chavez, from Nelson, from Tszyu, from Zack Padilla, Rocky Lockridge, Barry McGuigan..he was only dropped once and stopped only when his corner threw the towel against Padilla otherwise he'd gone the distance too.
Marco Antonio Barrera: Pheeww! Three battles with Erik Morales and never went down. Has been down with Kennedy McKinney and with Pac Man and with Junior Jones, but the guy earns his stripes for the three fights with Morales as well as Jones II, Orlando Fernandez (who broke Julio Gervacio's jaw) and others. Which leads me to.....
Erik Morales. Once again pheeew! Has taken the best from everyone and has only been down twice, never knocked out.
Sixto Escobar, 63 fights and yes he lost 18 but Puerto Rico's first world champion was never stopped, never even put on trouble! All his losses were by guys who outboxed him and he outfought most of them the next time around.
Arturo Gatti: His fights with Micky Ward tell the story. Gabe Ruelas, Oscar De La Hoya dropped him once but he was on his feet (I think) when it was stopped in round five. One that put a dent to his reputation was Angel Manfredy through. FTR, I think he's way mismatched with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Ray Mancini Most of his stops were on cuts. Tough nosed fighter who never said no and was knocked out on the floor only by Alexis Arguello, and by light hitting Greg Haugen when Mancini was way past his prime.

And remember, most magazine writers tend to list the old timers and non ********** more than anyone else not trying to make this a racist issue, every race has awesome boxers and I love Americans, but, Ring and KO and all the other magazines often tend to rank Americans over everyone else

I don't care how many times they got knocked down they could take a punch...

                    Don't forget Miguel Cotto........JUST JOKING

                      1) Muhammad Ali: When he rope-a-doped his way in the seventies he took wicked shots from Foreman, Frazier, Norton,Shavers and countless other murderous hitters....and he only had 3 knockdowns scored against him in his entire career.

                      2) Julio Cesar Chavez: In his prime did u ever see him hurt or staggered? even after taking shots from bombers like Rosario and Mayweather? No

                      3) Evander Holyfield: Any fool who stands and trade shots with Mike Tyson and doesnt fold has got to have tough whiskers...Holyfield does. He also took the best that Bowe, Foreman, Lewis,Moorer.

                      4) Tex Cobb: how many brain cells did he lose when he just let Shavers tee off on his noggin, and yet never once took a step back.

                      5) Marvalous Marvin Hagler. Soaked up Hearns best shots and just kept coming....Took Mugabi's best and did the same...Hagler did this all through his career...took his opponents best shots and just smiled.

                      6) Sugar Ray Robinson: He fought over 200 fights and the only stoppage he suffered was by heat exhaustion to Joey Maxim. Fullmer, Tiger Jones and many other true Middleweights tested this blown up Welterweight's Jaw...Sugar Ray passed them all.

                      7) George Foreman: He should have went to sleep when Lyle was nailing him with wicked shots..he didn't. He should have been kayoed when Alex Stewart sliced up his face and busted his jaw he didnt... a prime Holyfield teed of on his noggin all night and he didnt even so much flinch.

8)Jake Lamotta: This nut went through his career and was only floored once...by a light heavyweight when he was way passed his prime..Robinson smashed him with everything for the middleweight title and he was still on his feet.

9)Ray Mercer. In his prime u could have taken a baseball bat and hit Mercer over the head and he still be standing. He took Morrison's best hooks and kept coming, Lewis hit him with right hands all night and he gave Lennox one of his toughest fights, and only went down on points slightly.

                      10) Kid Gavillan: He fought over 100 fights and was floored a total of 1. He traded shots with an absolute prime Sugar Ray and never took a step backward....he fought guys that outweigh him by 20lbs but never once knocked out....freak of nature.
I don't think you can argue too much with this list. I wonder if you could throw Tua, Mayorga, or gatti anywhere in here
