The best chins of all time.

In no particular order. Heres my ten
    1) Muhammad Ali: When he rope-a-doped his way in the seventies he took wicked shots from Foreman, Frazier, Norton,Shavers and countless other murderous hitters....and he only had 3 knockdowns scored against him in his entire career.

    2) Julio Cesar Chavez: In his prime did u ever see him hurt or staggered? even after taking shots from bombers like Rosario and Mayweather? No

    3) Evander Holyfield: Any fool who stands and trade shots with Mike Tyson and doesnt fold has got to have tough whiskers...Holyfield does. He also took the best that Bowe, Foreman, Lewis,Moorer.

    4) Tex Cobb: how many brain cells did he lose when he just let Shavers tee off on his noggin, and yet never once took a step back.

    5) Marvalous Marvin Hagler. Soaked up Hearns best shots and just kept coming....Took Mugabi's best and did the same...Hagler did this all through his career...took his opponents best shots and just smiled.

    6) Sugar Ray Robinson: He fought over 200 fights and the only stoppage he suffered was by heat exhaustion to Joey Maxim. Fullmer, Tiger Jones and many other true Middleweights tested this blown up Welterweight's Jaw...Sugar Ray passed them all.

    7) George Foreman: He should have went to sleep when Lyle was nailing him with wicked shots..he didn't. He should have been kayoed when Alex Stewart sliced up his face and busted his jaw he didnt... a prime Holyfield teed of on his noggin all night and he didnt even so much flinch.

8)Jake Lamotta: This nut went through his career and was only floored once...by a light heavyweight when he was way passed his prime..Robinson smashed him with everything for the middleweight title and he was still on his feet.

9)Ray Mercer. In his prime u could have taken a baseball bat and hit Mercer over the head and he still be standing. He took Morrison's best hooks and kept coming, Lewis hit him with right hands all night and he gave Lennox one of his toughest fights, and only went down on points slightly.

    10) Kid Gavillan: He fought over 100 fights and was floored a total of 1. He traded shots with an absolute prime Sugar Ray and never took a step backward....he fought guys that outweigh him by 20lbs but never once knocked out....freak of nature.

Oliver McCall, former WBC Heavyweight Champ, should be up there as well.

I would have JCC at 1 because he's knockdowns were flash knockdowns...even when Tszyu dropped an old washed up JCC...Chavez got up right away. To top it off a fighter like JCC who would move forward always is prone to walking in on something and getting knockdown. JCC would walk threw punches all the time just to get his punches in. For instance in Chavez first fight with Mayweather he got caught with a hard right hand that buckled Chavez's legs. That pissed off Chavez and Chavez eventually KO'd Mayweather.

*Honorably mentions - Ricardo Mayorga has a set of good whiskers and also David Tua.

But he's been stopped on a number of occasions. Even while not going down, he's been seriously hurt in bouts. I also question his heart in giving up against De La Hoya. I think he's a product of marketing and other people's ideas. He never was invincible.

I like the fact that someone put Oliver McCall in there, the guy has one of the most underated chins around.

The guy that should make any list is Jorge Castro, this guy would take king kong the distance, no one has ever ko'd him or hurt him that I know of and know one ever will, He took Roy the distance when Roy was winning every fight by ko, he let Jirov beat on him and didn't blink, the guy is a rock! And as for his chin, its a lot more sturdy than a rock!

real deal has a great chin. he took all the big heavyweight punches of his time and came back for more. but what about ward and gatti. they should be mentioned just because of thier trilogy. those two went toe to toe for 12 rounds on three occasions
