you say want to see guzman , campbell , etc. the only thing that would stop manny from fighting those guys is if there's no money in fighting those guys (this is his job to make money you know) now if people buy his ppv with a less known fighter like david. it'll assure the matchmakers of his drawing power against anybody and it'll convince them that there's money in fight lesser known guys like guzman and campbell.

think of it this way , you're watching a good fight (more likely than not) and buying this ppv will help the chances of getting to watch the fights you want to see him in.

i'm not here to argue with you. argument doesn't change things in this forums (although it is fun at times). but that's my reason for wanting and wanting everyone else to see this fight. mismatch or not.
The entire card is full of lame fights. Pacquiao-Diaz might be an entertaining fight...only might. There's no guarantee. I'm done with the days of buying a PPV just because Bob Arum said that it was going to be a barn burner. I bought Morales-Hernandez for all of the same reasons you're saying and while some people thought it was a "war" the truth is it was a sloppy ass clinchfest. Pacquiao-Diaz is probably either going to be a sloppy clinchfest or a one-sided beatdown.

If I wanted to watch somebody not defend himself on his way to getting KTFO in a main event or watch two men kissing and hugging in the middle of the ring, I'd watch UFC because that's all they do anyway.

I like action and excitement...but I respect floyds skills he just doesnt like throwing massive combos like he did at 130 so I lost interest in him if you got hte skills why fight to stay alive instead of fighting to win!

thats why he almost lost on the cards to oscar...if he was so good in such a lack luster fight he only won the split not a ud?
Prime nuthugger?? Floyd won. You pick Pac's best win, and match that against floyd's best win, take a look at the skill comparison, and i'll take floyd over pack any day of the week. Did pac even beat J.M.M in his last fight? What skill did he show in that fight??

you should be excited. without a title he has to go for big names and money right but if he has a title he has to defend it against contenders no?

when he didn't have a title you can't blame him for taking the big money name fights. but as a titlist he has to defend it against solid challengers right? he's fighting in vegas not like he's holding a title hostage in his home country like others have done.

plus he's not the only one to blame. when he won the ring belt from marco didn't he defend against the recognized #2 at 126? and marquez was the one that turned down the rematch. yes morales and barrera lost fights before he fought them at 130 but is that his fault? do you think if erik and marco had won those fights manny wouldn't fight them for the money they bring? and isn't it funny that erik and marco only fought manny AFTER they already lost their belts? not assuming anything bad about those 2 greats but there's 2 sides to every story.

just wait boof. if 2 years from now he still hasn't fought guzman , valero , marquez 3 , juan , joel (assuming they don't get an L that will hurt the money flow)...... then i'll be spewing hate just alongside you. we're boxing fans we should want to see the best , toughest fights NOT just want to see W's for guys we're a fan of.
Good post left. I just want to see pac in with the best while he is still good. He can fight. Anytime you give j.m.m a good fight and knock him down 4 times in 2 fights, you can fight. Just tired of his comp that's all. I won't give up on him.

Zab judah only has one significant victory and thats his rematch with cory spinks...his first fight with spinks was boring and he got knocked out by kostya.

David diaz might not be the most gifted like zab judah but he is a hard worker...

you talk so much **** bro but ill order this fight over zab judahs fight...zab judah doesnt have the discipline he is inconsistent...if zab judah is so good why did he lose to a nobody super slow baldomir?

at least pacman and diaz always come to fight and have willpower and discipline.

this fight will be great to me because both guys are humble, and fight hard...and its a championship fight.

Why order a guy who is a NAME fighter like zab judah when they just gonna let you down in the end?

What the **** is wrong with you!?! Did you not ****ing read that I said Zab Judah is a career under ****ing achiever? But Zab did beat good fighters like Junior Witter, like Cory Spinks, like Chop Chop Corley, like Terron Millet and Omar Weiss. David Diaz beat a beyond shot Erik Morales by one point in his hometown.

You're just picking a fight because I said something remotely negative about Pacquiao or something. I don't know what it is, but miss me with that ****. It's a ripoff PPV. If it was on HBO WCB whatever, but $50!?! Must be out your gotdamn mind. This is the **** Tom Hauser was talking about. If a fight can do more money on PPV than it will draw back in ratings HBO puts in on PPV instead of WCB because it makes more money for Viacom not because it's actually worth $50.

Good points. Pac has names on his resume, but a couple of those names were old or shot. But he did fight, and compete with one of the best ring technitions in the world in j.m.m and showed he can truly fight. I'm not ordering Pac's fight or Judah's if they are on ppv.

Exactly! It's not an argument about whether Zab Judah ever lived up to his potential. It's a wack ass card for PPV.

PPV used to be reserved for truly GREAT fights; Special events. Now, it's the gauge of just how much we're willing to pay for fights HBO isn't willing to put in a regular timeslot. Ordinarily, I'll pay for them, but THIS card...this is NOT worth it.
