have faith boof. they're being careful 'cause he's a cashcow at the moment.

you should be excited. without a title he has to go for big names and money right but if he has a title he has to defend it against contenders no?

when he didn't have a title you can't blame him for taking the big money name fights. but as a titlist he has to defend it against solid challengers right? he's fighting in vegas not like he's holding a title hostage in his home country like others have done.

plus he's not the only one to blame. when he won the ring belt from marco didn't he defend against the recognized #2 at 126? and marquez was the one that turned down the rematch. yes morales and barrera lost fights before he fought them at 130 but is that his fault? do you think if erik and marco had won those fights manny wouldn't fight them for the money they bring? and isn't it funny that erik and marco only fought manny AFTER they already lost their belts? not assuming anything bad about those 2 greats but there's 2 sides to every story.

just wait boof. if 2 years from now he still hasn't fought guzman , valero , marquez 3 , juan , joel (assuming they don't get an L that will hurt the money flow)...... then i'll be spewing hate just alongside you. we're boxing fans we should want to see the best , toughest fights NOT just want to see W's for guys we're a fan of.

So manny is fighitng David Diaz? but we know this its gonna be an action packed fight.

how many times have we seen some supposed top matches that stunk the joint up? like oscar vs floyd, or hopkins vs winky?

UFC fans order a fight because of the possibility of EXCITEMENT and to me thats worth the money if im paying big bucks...ill pay for a pavlik, pacquiao, cotto, juan ma fight over some **** like oscar vs floyd jr...or floyd vs baldomir.
How you know it's going to be an action packed fight? Huh? How? Because Pacquiao is in it? It's probably going to be a clinch fest. And why the hell should I care why UFC fans order fights? I'm not a UFC fan. I'm a boxing fan and I want to see great boxers like Pacquiao fight other great boxers like Joan Guzman, Juan Manuel Marquez or Nate Campbell.

I can watch training footage to see him hit the punching bag for an hour instead of paying $50 to see him hit David Diaz all night. That **** ain't exciting...**** what a UFC fan says is exciting...that **** ain't.

I am a Real Boxing fan and I am a huge fan of Manny Pacquiao so ill def catch it.

I like to see how he handles 135 and david diaz is hungry a hungry fighter brings the fight so stop hating on diaz I bet he could work you hard in a spar.

DAVID DIAZ also beat your boy ZAB JUDAH
Oh so because I don't want to see Pacquiao miss matches I'm not a "real boxing fan" like you!?! Miss me with that bull****. David Diaz beat Zab in the amateurs. So what? Martin Castillo beat Floyd Mayweather in the amateurs and some Korean gym teacher beat Roy Jones in the amateurs. Am I supposed to pay $50 to watch every single one of them fight to be a "real boxing fan" like you!?!

Floyd haters always call people who defend Floyd elitist, but when the **** do we ever call ourselves "real boxing fans" when compared to you folks? And you got the ****ing nerve to call me elitist.

Man, I'll say this much...if Pacquiao needs to fight a limited underachiever in order to guarantee an action packed win then he doesn't need to be fighting on PPV. He could fight Guzman, Marquez or Campbell. Bob Arum just doesn't want him to. And if me demanding that he fight a top name before I pay PPV prices precludes me from being a "real boxing fan" like YOU then **** that ****.

it'll be a good fight even if it's a mismatch (and it's not as big a mismatch as most think).

manny doesn't have the greatest defense and david is a pressure fighter that will come at him the whole time. manny has power but we don't know if he has power at 135 and david has a great chin anyway. manny might be faster but david is bigger and stronger.

you say want to see guzman , campbell , etc. the only thing that would stop manny from fighting those guys is if there's no money in fighting those guys (this is his job to make money you know) now if people buy his ppv with a less known fighter like david. it'll assure the matchmakers of his drawing power against anybody and it'll convince them that there's money in fight lesser known guys like guzman and campbell.

think of it this way , you're watching a good fight (more likely than not) and buying this ppv will help the chances of getting to watch the fights you want to see him in.

i'm not here to argue with you. argument doesn't change things in this forums (although it is fun at times). but that's my reason for wanting and wanting everyone else to see this fight. mismatch or not.

He beat Zab Judah in the amateurs. It's not the same thing. As a pro, David Diaz is a career underachiever. I'm a huge Judah fan and I'll admit even Judah is a career underachiever and his career stats are light years better than David Diaz.
