The only guys who would/could/might beat FMJ are the upper-echelon fighters: SRL, Pernell, etc. That is the only level fighter we should discuss beating Floyd.

Arguello is more of that B+ guy....like a Hatton.

Guys of that level? Fine. Tommy was very long and could box. Floyd is a much smaller guy than Tommy, and perhaps Tommy's chin could survive. If Floyd wasn't able to get inside quickly and often, Tommy would be a nightmare for him.

But it is ridiculous to talk about guys like Arguello beating Floyd. That's lunacy.

Agree! Floyd has decent power! and alot of power when he wants to throw hard. But sorry to say I don't think he has enough to put away Hearns. He has enough to get his respect.

All due respect to Arguello, but he needed 14 rounds to handle Mancini who was tough as nails but wasn't the toughest target to find.

But Floyd is a fifteen round fighter, and Tommy, sadly, is not. Tommy's legs tired badly late in fights.

If Floyd tired Tommy, he would finish Hearns with left hooks...a la Hatton and Corrales.
