Dont Forget Quintana Was a Handpicked Opponent

Burner, he is right, no matter how much stick you want to dish out to him.
Before you disregard my opinion, consider this:
Williams had just come off a career best win over Margarito, and anybody who beats Margarito will have to take some big shots in the process. Quintana was chosen as an opponent as it was deemed to be an easier fight that would make Williams look good. For whatever reason, it didn't play out like that, and Williams lost. Now, in a rematch, Williams looked good in dispatching him in the first round. If an opponent that is suposed to make you look good beats you, and you beat him in a more convincing win in the rematch, doesn't that kind of suggest that your people were right in the first place, and he was an easier fight than the tough one you were in previously?
For whatever reason, Williams slipped up against a hand picked opponent (Quintana wasn't a mandatory, remember, that makes him hand picked)Comment

williams was a massive favorite in both fights
its not like its an upset he did what he was supposed to doComment

Man I miss the prime Shaq. There's no such thing as a handpicked opponent in boxing, sure fighters come off big fights and tell Bob or Don they wanna fight someone one, coming off few wins or suspect victories. But Anyone lacing um up with 20+ wins 3or less losses.. is capable of Knocking out or beating your Antonio Margaritos, and Shane Mosleys>1nfjhfjvjcComment

well i can see williams ktfo cotto right now. sorry, you can't stop the eventual fight as much as you wish to! Williams is back!Dont forget the whole story quintana just got destroyed by cotto, and he was handpicked to be easy pray for williams, instead he ended up exposing williams as the flawed and incomplete fighter he is
this rematch its just extra
heck quintana wasnt even the mandatory wbo challenger and ended up owning williams
how can u expect williams to defeat the mandatory wbo challenger let alone fight cotto who is the number 1 welterweightComment

That will be sick Cotto or Margarito fighting either Williams or Clottey/Judah winner. Andre Berto coming up too. We don;t know if old DLH is gonna be at 147 with Mayweather gone. Some good match-ups to look forward too. I think Cotto hurts Williams to the body.Comment

Yeah i can see what you mean man. i wasnt sold on Paul after the Margarito win, then the loss to a handpicked guy furtherd that. This 1st round TKO is impressive (Cotto did it in 5) but why did he not do it the first time?Comment
