Lockett was on his way up, before Enzo was so pissed off after realizing that Lockett ****** so much and decided to throw the towel at him.
Pavlik-Lockett should NOT have gotten stopped.

What do you think would have happened? I think, more punishment until Lockett was stopped by the ref... -
He was smart to throw in the towel right there, anymore punishment and he would've messed up Lockett more than he already didComment

Lockett never felt power like that before. That was made clear the way he kept taking knees like they count for nothing. His face was being badly marked up by the 2nd round already, and punches that he even blocked were going into his face hard. He knew he had no chance, and if he had any chance it was to scare Pavlik early with that I need to drop a massive **** look on his face. Apparently Pavlik's seen those before...

agreed. i don't like enzo but he did the right thing tonight. we always blame the refs for not stopping it sooner but the corner has an ever bigger responsibility to stop their fighter from getting hurt.
there was no point in anymore punishment. in the corner he told gary he had to do something. gary didn't/couldn't and was taking more punishment. time to call it a night. good stoppage.
the musician actually did something right. i might actually start respecting enzo. (i said "might" but not likely though)Comment

In fact, the opposite is true.
Enzo could have been forgiven by more compassionate fans for throwing in the towel a little earlier.
Lockett was outclassed and was shipping Pavlik too many free shots at his face, not something you want to do against a guy whos only real asset is his strength and power.Comment

. Pavlik should've gotten more time to beat his ass.
