williams' ko in round 1 was a shocker. a decision wouldn't have been shocking no matter which way it went. and not only was it a ko, it was a ko in the first round. that was pleasantly shocking.

the only surprise in the pavlik fight was that it took so long for pavlik to finish lockett. pavlik looked alot more passive than usual. but he did have rock solid defense which was probably one of his goals for that match, to improve his defense.

I'm still shocked at how Juanma made it look so easy to take out Ponce...if that counts also...

Seriously though, Lockett did have one advantage over Quintana, and that was that he was smart enough to take a knee when he was hurt. Quintana tried to stay on his feet and ended up taking more shots because of it.

Obviously taking a knee didn't help Lockett win the fight, but you could argue that it helped him get past the second round. Therefore it could also be argued that it might have allowed Quintana to get past the first round and come back into the fight.

                    Maybe not, but it's possible.
