yea, it just had to be said. I dont really have a problem with a fighter fighting bums, but they shouldnt get credit for it. truth be told, a lot of Calzaghe's title defences werent really worthy of a title defence, but that happens to all fighters, regardless of where they come from. Calzaghe has at least 10 decent wins on his record.

well, dont get too mad at SIN. in a weird, backwards way he actually kind of hypes up Calzaghe, because all his negativity towards him makes his fans more zealous...
    strange, but that happens somewhat.

So instead of entering into a reasonable discussion about what else Joe could have done to better his resume, you just **** on him some more.

And you wonder why you have zero credibility?

            Mario Veit
Mikkel Kessler (European but not a bum)
            Sakio Bika
            Charles Brewer
            Jeff Lacy
            Byron Mitchell
            Omar Sheika
            Robin Reid
            Chris Eubank
            Bernard Hopkins
            Manfredo Jr.

Manfredo is the worst on there, sooo erm there are obviously less that 40 fighters that are unknown on his resume.

Calzaghe is the most overrated British champion I have ever seen in my life.

ack, get rid of Manfredo and Veit. those are lousy wins. replace those with Richie Woodhall and Juan Carlos Giminez and you have Calzaghe's best wins.

Veit deserves to be there on hype alone.

Both he and Calzaghe were 30-0, and the fight was billed as a straight up pick 'em.

The fact that Calzaghe blew him away in a round shows just how dominant he was over everyone else.

Veit doesnt deserve to be there because he was not a good fighter at all. the 30-0 looks pretty, but it doesnt mean anything. if Calzaghe's were to get credit for a win over him, then he should have get credit for the 2nd win, not the first one. Veit was a much better in the 2nd fight than in the first, and even then it wasnt much. the guy only beat a shot Brewer, who was coming off a year+ layoff and was finished off in his next fight against a nobody, and Veit barely got past Kabary Salem. thats not a good sign.

I dont care what the fight was billed as, because when it gets down to it, Veit was not a good fighter. he is almost a perfect example of someone whos career has been protected and built up with lousy opponents.
Juan Carlos Giminez was a better fighter than Veit, based on his performance against Nigel Benn.

I love how people still fall for it.
