DAYUM, Williams is a monster haha. Apparently he wasn't ****ing around when he said he was coming for vengeance. I thought he'd win the fight but I never thought he'd blast out Quintana in one round, he put that work in even faster than Cotto did.
I came home from my buddy's house and turned on Showtime and it was 9 rounds into the Forrest fight, and I said "Oh, the Williams-Quintana fight must be the main event, weird..." then I come on here and see this thread. DOPE!
Looks like Williams found some pop in those punches! If he can continue to improve in power and speed, there is no one at this weight that can stop him! He may be the best WW after all!
I just came to mourn...as a Puertorrican, watching that was effin' depressing.
And I was wondering about the rubber match...and my thoughts proved right apparently. Gaining vengeance in SUCH an impressive fashion rules out the need for a third...
Williams stays with the belt.
But damn...in the years (more or less) that I've been a fan of boxing...this was the most nervewracking thing I have seen.
how much did williams weighin going into the fight? the way he punched tonight he must had 20-25 lb weigh advantage which is unfair and if so quintana's team better protest.
All Cotto does is hide behind a "20-25lb" weight advantage..!!!
Why not call Cotto out on it??
He's a bigger drainer than Williams....HBO won't even weigh him on fight night anymore.
