Floyd is not boxing. Floyd has only been a draw since his fight with Oscar.

Gamboa, Linares, Pavlik, Kessler, Berto, Peterson Brothers, Dirrel, Ward, Solis, Cotto.

Floyd retiring is a HUGE boost to boxing. No longer will Floyd be typing up belts, and have paper champions vying to fight him. Now they will have to fight the young up and coming fighters.

Boxing is far from DEAD. Its just springing to life...
one bad apple is all it takes to spoil the bunch...

What's with all the talk about boxing being dead now since Mayweather is retiring. He wasn't the messiah for boxing or anything. There are still good fighters out there and good fights to be made and us real boxing fans will always watch.

I really don't care about the fighter's being household names. I understand that MMA is the big thing now, but I wonder how long it's staying power is going to be. I just think the people that are saying Boxing is done are not real boxing fans and are into the sport just because of a few fighters.

Most of the UFC supporters are white teenagers who have had enough with WWE. Mayweather a draw Deigo your on crack he could barely sell 5,000 seats before De La Hoya, jesus Carl Froch gets that here in the UK.

Linares is the one that will save boxing. I think if anyone can is him. He fights amazingly well, and i think that he has that special thing that can make him a superstar.
                      I hope im right :P....
