biggest myth on these boards that Floyd fought a LOT of guys who were bigger then him.

How many fighters has he not avoided.

If Floyd retires today he will have some legacy but not a better one than Cotto when he retires since he will have fought all the challenges put in front of him, and cleared out all the threats to him. Unfortunatley the same can't be said for Mayweather who has avoided almost all threats to him in the Welterweight division.

I do appreciate it, that's why I am a fan of Cotto since he has greatness all around.

I mean, come on guys. Is this a serious question? I mean, can Miguel Cotto live without all these comparisons? Let him become the fighter he becomes. Until then, just stop. Since both are undefeated, why would Floyd be #1 in the world if Cotto has a better resume? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Floyd's body of work at 130-135 is enough to trump Cotto. And I really like what Miguel did at 140 and what he's doing at 147. But he has never faced a fighter as highly ranked as Diego Corrales. Or moved up and taken on the best fighter in that division - like Floyd did when he fought Castillo.

Really, I could go on but it's pointless. if you're a biased Cotto fan, you'll feel different - meaning you think Miguel Cotto is the best pound for pound fighter in the sport.

                He hasn't achieved greatness yet.

Mate i get just has fed up like you when you have to try and let people see thing from an unbiase point of view, people lets hate and fanboyish syndrome cloud their judgement too much. At the moment there is NO comparism and i meant overall in what Mayweather has achieve from Cotto...

Mayweather has never fought as good an opponent as Mosley. De La Hoya was very good in his 20s, but is past prime now. Mosley appeared to be still near his peak in 2007.
man mosley never wanted to fight FLoyd Mayweather.. he's been ducking floyd since 98.. mosley only now has stated he wants to fight floyd because floyd is one of the major money makers in the sport..

as far as the topic goes
cotto has a decent resume, but floyd's is better
