Boxing is doing a lot of Positive, Dont concentrate on the Negative.

I keep on seeing all these, "thats why boxing is crap right now" threads. But we are in a great time of boxing right now, and can't even enjoy it for what it is. Over the past 1-2 years Arum, Dibella, Shaw, GBP and King have stepped it up and have had great divisional and cross divisional matchups.

    Vaz-Marq, Kessler-Calz, Calz-Hopkins, Miranda-Kelly, Kelly-Taylor, Cotto-Mosley, JMM-Pac, Barrera-JMM, Cintron-Marg, Haye-Enzo.......the LHW's had Dawson-Johnson and Tarver-Woods on the same card. Hatton-PBF, Juan-Cambell, Gonz-Vaz and many more.....

The point is lets not get stuck on 1 fight that might or might not be made. Or get bogged down on our sport not being on network TV (CBS or FOX) Were seeing great matchups up and down the divisions, lets enjoy it.

      Hell no.

The sport is turning into the laughing stock of the world!

Pavlik vs Lockett? Mundine vs Shannon Taylor? Klitschko vs Thompson?

There are much better fights out there!

I agree, boxing for the most part is doing a lot better now compared to a couple of years ago.

Thats what I'm talking about. A guy like Pavlik just fought Miranda-Taylor-Taylor, then takes a fight against Locket and he is criticized.

Lets make it one belt per division!

And then watch these **** match ups stop!

I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement but guys are just seeing the negative.

Case in point is PBF-Cotto. Many are so pre-occuppied with that not happening that they fail to really appreciate the Margarito-Cotto fight. Margarito-Cotto which is btw a more exciting stylistic matchup than PBF-Cotto.

Not to mention the other top WW's have been fighting each other for the most part.

I agree with the great matchups over the last year and a half but who's watching it? For the majority it's us hardcore fans...The mainstream and casual fan still believes there are no good fights or fighters due to the fact all good fights are on premium cable and PPV....MMA is getting on network TV building a fan base while Boxing is not. Boxing is taking the big fees from HBO and SHOWTIME and PPV. As a Boxing fan it kills me to see MMA getting all the attention and Boxing is portrayed as a joke. Boxing needs to once in a while forget PPV and the premium cable and give us a good fight on one of the networks until then Boxing's fan base will not continue to grow.

Some people are just ****** and have a hidden agenda against boxing. Boxing has been great in more then 4 years. If your a new fan of boxing know that you are seeing some great fighters challenge each other.

Imo, say what you want, but i belive it all started by Erik Morales once he stepped in the scene the guy had an aura about him and fought everybody, then everybody at or around his weight was fighting everybody then it just took off into other weights where everybody wanted to fight the best.

When i see somone say "boxing is in a slump or is dieing" I ****en laugh at that post.
