Why Floyd doesn't look spectacular when he faces good to great fighters?

Probably because Floyd doing his thing isn't as impressive as Tyson doing his thing. Floyd's thing is not getting hit, which just doesn't catch the eye as much as hitting hard. I thought he looked really good against Hatton.
You know what I mean?
He really didn't even beat Corrales up too badly. Corrales never looked severely hurt, his legs were just ****ed.Comment

look, i asked you to be objective........if you think hatton fought clean, and floyd fought dirty, we can just basically end the thread.......and start a "who has more heart, floyd or an elephant when he sees a mouse" thread...............Comment

That is actually true. Corrales did the exact same thing against Casamayor, and he got hit a lot against him too, just by following him. Mayweather is a lot sharper than Casamayor in the accuracy department, clearly.Comment

I still see that people are coming up with those ''Corrales was weight drained excuses''. Fact of the matter is, Corales has always struggled with technical fighters and has even stayed at that weight class for seven more fights. He managed to beat Casamayor at super featherweight and some other very good fighters as well. Why is he all of sudden weight drained when the best pound for pound fighter beats him dominately? Its becuase they are trying to take away from his victory. Look back at every technical boxer than Corales has fought and you will see that Mayweather at any weight would have still dethroned him. Casamayor, Freitas ect. Stop taking away from a fighters victory.Comment
